So I've finally managed to finish the game. An despite all the pit falls of releasing the game I finally managed to work something out. As of now I am looking for interest in the game so we can get an idea as to what kind of out put we are going to have to deal with. Anyhow, any questions or comments on the game or its release I'll be more then happy to answer.

So a little information on the game for you, Castlevania: Baleful Sonata is a hack of the original Castlevania. The game features new stage design, music from Simon's Quest & Dracula's Curse as well as a couple of brand new tunes by Optomon and new graphics (as well as some borrowed from another hack). This game has taken me just over 3 years to complete and I am really excited about getting it finally released as a cart. I am even trying to set something up for a box you can pick up separately (more on that later).

I'm not really looking for money though I am thinking about doing a limited numbered release then offer it up to everyone else. If I do a limited numbered release I plan on donating it to NintendoAge.

I think a lot more people would actually buy it than the number who will respond to a poll, just so you know...want to share an idea of what run sizes you're considering?

I am throwing around 10-30 at the moment as a limited boxed run. Though once the run is finish the cart will be available for those who want it on another website. I'm trying to decide a fair price for the limited run. Any suggestions?

Dude, I'm so in!!! Oh my gosh!

I only care about a cart only so I can play this game, but if the CIB is priced fairly, I don't mind getting it as well.

Looks like fun!

I may be in but I have a question.

Is this a hack thats extremely difficult?

One thing I've noticed about hacks is that people make them as difficult if not even more difficult than the originals. I prefer a more well balanced game thats easy to play that gradually gets difficult as you progress. If the game is flat out too difficult from the beginning I usually stay away.

As a matter of fact I felt the same thing with other Castlevania hacks. I worked hard on trying to keep it in the spirit of the original. It's challenging but not hard to the point you wanna those your controller through the tv.

I am thinking the price for the limited boxed edition would be around 50-60 to cover the costs. The later release of the cart only will be around 30.

for me those prices are absolutely perfect . But when and even more important how can we make sure that we are the "chosen" ones that will get a limited copy?
