Hello everyone. I am new to the boards and thought today would be a good day to make my first post. I am na avid collector of vintage toys and although I've been holding on to my childhood stash of NES games, it's only been over the last 6 months have I stepped up looking to add it to it. I guess I've been focused on vintage star wars for so long, but needed a change. I've tried to avoid ebay as I enjoy the search and acquisition probably more than the owning aspect of collecting, and that leads me to my find.
I went to 1 yard sale yesterday. I imagine many of you do the same, but here in the northeast, there aren't that many this time of year, and actually finding anything is even rarer. With that said, I was pretty excited when i asked the lady if she had any Nintendo stuff (when I got there, there was sega genesis and 1 game sitting on the table). She said she did and proceeded to pull oout 3 large tupperware containers of stuff. It was a bit overwhelming, since I know NES more than any other console, but decided to "buy it all" and ultimately paid $100 for the following items.
http://picasaweb.google.com/petes...14 loose NES Games (including Mega Man 6, Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure in Movie rental case)
30 SNES games (including Harvest Moon, kirbyDream land 3, Kirby Super star)
30 N64 games (Mario party 1-3, DK64, Ocarina of Time)
25 Boxed Sega Genesis Games
13 loose Sega games
9 Sega CD games in cases
10 Sega Dreamcast games
9 Sega saturn games
NES Power Pad
SNES system complete
Sega satrun -missing controllers and 1 cable (has power supply)
Sega Genesis w/3 paddles and power supply
3 NES controllers
1 N64 controller
2 original Gameboys
Nes Zapper
SNES mouse?
n64 tranfer pak
n64 rumble pak
Super game boy Converter?
and some other odds and ends
I had no idea it would include so much and was pretty excited that some rarer games were included. In any case, it was all pretty dirty, but very few stickers and only 1 cartridge with ink on it. Everything came up pretty clean, but since I don't have all the pieces I can't test any of the sega games. I am going to sell all of the sega stuff, since i am a Nintendo guy, but all of sudden my NES collection is turning more into a NES, SNEs and n64 collection! Thought I would share this since I recognize how lucky this score was, and you will appreciate it. In any case, I hope to learn more form this site as I continue to grow the collection. Thanks!
SNES - 660

I think he's a dude.
It's been a mixed week. I was close to securing 100+ nes games for $100 (her asking price) before the woman backed out (I'm pretty sure someone came in after me and offered more money. Yesterday was a different. I picked up:
22 loose NES games (including Zelda, Link, Mario Bros Arcade version, Mario is Missing, Bubble bobble, SMB 2 and 3). All had sleeves and instructions.
6 NES boxes with games (SMB, Star tropics, Zodas Revenge, Dr. Mario, Boy and his Blob and SMB 3)
Complete Top Loader System wth 2 dogbone controllers (1 still in sealed bag) and a nes advantage
15 SNES boxes with instructions (Star Wars, Empire Strikes Back, SM Kart, Kirby Super Stars)
8 SNES Games (Wario's World, Mortal Kombat, SMB RPG, Justice League)
Super Scope mint in box
paid $140.
