It looks like the new (physical) homebrews are slowing down, do you guys know any new homebrewprojects that are interesting to follow?

It feels like the past year saw more new releases than ever, and even more are in mid to late development. What type of games are you looking for?

The games that really could have been triple a releases such as: battle kid, twin dragons, haunted halloween, ....

it's been a while since there was a KS for a good new nes/snes game

The Micro Mages and Full Quiet Kickstarters were a while back, and both should be getting close to fulfillment. Nebs & Debs should be shipping within a few weeks. KHan Games' NEScape game has been chugging along, and updates can be found on Twitter. Estoscerro is moving forward as well, with the game complete and funding/production being all that is really left. Battle Kid 1 got kind of a director's cut re-release over on Play-Asia. There are definitely more, but unless they're sitting on my shelf they tend to slip the mind  . Now you've got me thinking...

To toot my own horn a bit, we're close to finishing the action platformer "Project Blue". We want to have the game 99% done before rolling out the campaign so we can have a quick backing to delivery cycle. Most of my attention is on polishing up the levels these days while Donny is doing the final touches to the code. We're also planning to release the custom level editor for romhack enthusiasts.

Awesome, been excited about it since playing the NESDev demo. Looking forward to the campaign.

I feel like there's lots in the fulfillment pipeline (everything Beau mentioned). Alfonzo's Arctic Adventure is also coming soon and looks great! Collectorvision has Sydney Hunter and Dead Tomb in development. Are we not still in the good old days? Stuff seems great

It seems like if a certain someone would do his research and update the Currently Available thread, we would all have a better idea of what is out there...

Come on guys, there hasn't been a new NES Kickstarter in over a month! Pick up the pace!
But seriously, things have been pretty active if you ask me. There were 4 high-quality Kickstarters in the space of about 3 months toward the end of last year. Between Micro Mages and Limted Run's Galf, we've never had more mainstream exposure. Plenty of cool stuff on the horizon too. Wolfling just got finished. That is definitely a commercial-quality game and I'd love to see a physical release of it someday. Project Blue and Khan's escape room game are very promising.
I have a new project in the pipeline as well that could be pretty big. It's much too early for me to say anything now, but soon after Alfonzo's release then there will probably an announcement. Maybe spring/early summer.

NEScape! should be revealed to the world in more detail in March or April (when the game is 100% done). Appreciate all the kind words mentioned about it in here.

NEScape looks amazing! First time hearing about it and wow... my favorite genre on my favorite console. At this rate I'm going to own more homebrews than original games!

Hmm, that idea never occurred to me. I may need to do a count of my collection  .

On a side Note, Candelabra: Estoscerro will be launched in March. The goal is to have the KickStarter running when the MidWest Gaming Classic is happening April 12-15

Is the new version of Eskimo Bob with new background animations and two-player mode available as a ROM download for purchase?  I previously bought the ROM from here:

https://spoony-bard-productions.i...

If I buy it again now, will I get the updated version?

You don't have to buy it again. If you redownload it, you'll get the updated version automatically.
