Always been curious as to what's considered the best movie to NES game adaptation.

Star Wars is fairly close. Meeting Obi-Wan, Cantina, Death Star, rescuing Leia, escape, and trench run are all there.

Batman has Axis Chemical and the clock tower, but it's also known for the ending where Batman throws Joker off of the tower.

Well for SNES, the answer is obvious

I had a very early NES proto of The Hunt for Red October that had no hit detection and no enemies other than giant octopuses that you can't interact with.

I had no idea they actually made it to the final version of the game on SNES.

I recently watch Rambo: First Blood Part 2 and found that it followed the NES game a lot closer than expected.

You know what game nails it? Not NES, but the computer version (like Atari XL) of Goonies.

First scene, you are sneaking into the old restaurant. Second scene, get past the large rock boobie traps. Then pipes under the country club. Later there's a bone organ. Then a water slide. Then a pirate ship.

But, if we're making jokes, and including SNES, how about Home Improvement the game?

WTF was that all about? Dinosaurs?

Star Wars without a doubt. Such an underrated game that follows the movie really well.

If we're talking the series and not one particular movie, Friday the 13th follows the series formula in general. Bunch of counselors, bunch of kids, isolated camp, Jason jump scares.

Nightmare on Elm Street kind of follows the third movie, Dream Warriors. Group of kids with different abilities, gaining powers in the dream world.

I was thinking about that.  But seriously you can basically play Die Hard exactly like it is from the movie, including the jump thru the window at the end.  Its fantastic.  Also New Ghostbusters II not only has most of the music but follows the movie exactly, what else could you want?  Dont say 2 player though...

I immediately thought of Die Hard. It even had foot health for extra realism!

Even the Nintendo Power review said that the game lacked the humor that made the TV show so great.
