While these contests have been fun, they can be a bit exhausting, especially the Summer Tournament.  While I'll still post an occasional score, I don't think I'll be playing as much as I did in the first half.  I don't own many of the games for this half anyway.

Well, I did beat Brendan last night.

Question for the moderators!

Is it considered point racking if I slow my plane down in Missions 3/7? On those levels you can hit Select+Up/Down to speed up or slow down your plane but only on those missions.

I was able to beat the game last night for the first time in forever but I used two continues. If I can 1CC this week I'll be happy with whatever score that it!

Why would this be considered point pressing?
If it is then my score is invalid.

If we're trying to score max points while trying to minimize any point pressing, then shouldn't dying in a base battle be considered the same as missing the supplies on your third pass? The base is worth a lot of pints.

please not another rule towards a low score contest.

Only because that gives you more time to grind points off of the plane that follows you around.  I mean, you have to defend yourself, right?

Personally I think it's fine to do it but I wanted to ask just to be sure.  It's no fun playing those levels at breakneck speed.  I believe the point racking rule is meant to prevent grinding points off of the plane once you reach the base at the end of the stage since they keep spawning.

I don't see it as point racking at all. It's in the controls of the game.

Slowing down the planes isn't point racking in my opinion.  In this game, it's just a means to slow your plane down if you find it difficult to make it through missions 3 & 7 at top speed.

Lol I never knew u could do a barrel roll! Now I'm gonna have to read the instruction manual.

I tried it and crashed right into the side of a mountain. This week has participation point written all over it for me.

The barrel roll has done nothing but get me killed. I suppose it might be useful in one of the base battles where there is room, but I've never thought "damn, I should have done the barrel roll".

Bertsampson and Red ya'll are suspiciously quiet. I think I might have something respectable up my sleeve. *fingers crossed*.

Arnpoly is lurking too I feel.

I don't think you have to worry about me too much.    I may attempt to beat my score but I'm also very tempted to just keep playing Eggerland instead...

Now, Bert and Red, they will come out guns blazing I just know it.

I agree, thanks for clearing that up!

I apologize if this was the wrong way to bring this up.

I'm tempted to give this another shot, but I'm not sure if I'll have enough time to play over the weekend to make much of a difference in my score.

So, is this allowed?  If intentionally dying right before beating a boss is okay, I could really up my score.
