Hey guys, I've been working on a collection tracker that will track the value of your collections on gamevaluenow and I am happy to announce that it is ready for beta testing. You're killing me. I was hoping you had this a few weeks ago. I ended up using some other place instead haha. I'll totally change to this because this is the site i always use.

From the screen I'd say it could use a text box for personal notes and a check box for poster/map

You can add notes to any game in your collection by clicking the edit button which will pull up a modal window but I do not have a check box for poster/map.... completely dropped the ball there :-P. Added it to the todo list.

Hell yeah! GVN killing it like always, looking forward to seeing this. Although i've heard there's a way to do this with excel commands in a spreadsheet, but this would without a doubt streamline the process.

Oh neat, I think I'll look into this. I hope they have some kind of feature to export as a spreadsheet, that would be great for me.

Damn that is actually pretty sweet.

I've given it a try and it's pretty impressive. Attractive interface, easy to use, and a very convenient way to get a ballpark on my collection's value.

I used it, I'm 141 games in and it's nice with the options for manual and/or box, and you could put notes in if you have a map or walkthrough guide or associated magazine. I think it would make a great app that he could make some money off of, I would pay 10 or 15 dollars for it to stop my dumb ass from buying doubles and triples, it would save me money in the long run.

If I use the beta version now, will I have to re-enter my collection when the final version will be released?

Interesting! Lack of price display / totaling is one of the biggest drawbacks to vgcollect. None of the collection sites seem to do a very good job of insert tracking and cataloging but there's so many different types of inserts if you nitpick all the ad inserts / reg cards / posters / maps etc I don't know how you'd display it cleanly; but would love a way to differentiate cart, instruction, box versus a fully complete game.
