My brother-in-law torqued the adjustment dial on my Arkanoid controller too hard and snapped it off.  Does anyone on here have the knowhow to repair one of these?  I'm not even sure how to get the board out without doing something bad to the knob part of the controller.

Please help, I'm not looking forward to buying a replacement.
