You know the other threads remove combo carts that contain games with a stand-alone release for the system right...might want to scratch the combo cart off for next year's list.  Some combos, like Tetris & Dr. Mario, don't have releases on the SNES as a stand-alone, so those should count, but stuff like MBR/SR would be like SMB/DH on the NES list...that is, knocked off the list before it's started.  Just a suggestion man, but instead of giving him points for beating it, it shouldn't be considered separately from the other two.  That said, if anyone owns it, it should still count to beat both individual games with the combo cart, if you get what I'm saying

"It's always amazing to me how some of the most worthless games from a gaming perspective tend to fetch outrageous amounts of money. But then again, it could be said that something is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it. I'm curious if the high bidder of the $873.04 Stadium Events (cart-only) realizes that it's nowhere nearly as rare as about 20+ games I can think of that sell for 1/10th that amount?  At any rate, I wanted to draw attention to this trend: if people say it's rare, it must be true, and therefore it must be had at any price."

No problem man I've wanted to for a while, I just never really got in a SNES frame of mind.  Part of it is that the way my SNES games are shelved, it's hard to access 2/3 of them...otherwise I'd probably have added a few more

The problem is, he is one of like....3 or 4 people on the entire site that even has the capacity to complete those games because they require a special peripheral- the exertainment life cycle, and any of the games scratched off for him, are of the same breed.  They can't be completed without this special bike.  He deserves to get 3 games for breaking out his multi-thousand dollar bike and agreeing to use it for the challenge thread.

Add me up for NHL '98. Skipped the season and played only single-game series in the playoffs, but Vancouver beat Philly 7-0 to win the Stanley Cup. Oddly enough, the Playoff MVP was a player on the Devils, leading me to believe that the trophies may be random But yeah, based on previous requirements for the other NHL titles, I figure winning the Stanley Cup should qualify so long as all playoff games were played, which I did

And now NHL '95 can be scratched off as well. Did the same thing, simmed through the season, then single-game playoff rounds. Vancouver beat Washington 5-1 in the final, and Pavel Bure won the Conn Smythe for Playoff MVP.

And just because I can, to complete the trifecta for the night, I knocked off Acme Animation Factory again, as per the requirements from last year.

question....

I would like to 'beat' extra innings so.. how does that work in a baseball game? Just play a pennant of X number of games I guess?

EDIT:

I'm going to just to a 10 game pennant. I think it has a finish screen/credits so we'll see. (Love this game btw)

So, I'm going to beat Bill Laimbeer's Combat Basketball for you guys, but I have a question.

I'm going to play the retranslation of Breath of Fire 2. Does that count toward the list or not?

(I don't really want to play through the original version again and I don't know if anything else in the game has been changed.)
