Looks sweet. I like how the art style makes it look like a child's scribbles on notebook paper. I'm totally down for this.

Since it's totally one of a kind, that would make the game more of a prototype than an official release, so does that mean the person who recieves this prize is given the option to either:

(a) keep it for himself,
(b) sell it, or my personal favorite,
(c) dump it and release it to the internets?

<-- plz kick me here if you don't like option c...

Make sure nobody cheats to find the easter egg. Go find it old school and don't just take apart the binary to find it.

Unused graphics tiles are a great place to start; then you can find areas in the ROM that access the tiles, but that won't tell you how to access the Easter Egg in the real game, or compile a valid screenshot without playing it. I'm asuming Khan will want am actual screenshot rather than a vague description.

Also, what happens if someone posts a "Let's Play" style vido on youtube and accidentally uncovers the Easter Egg, or unwittingly posts in an internet forum about it, but doesn't have any awareness that there is a prize bounty for finding it. Then everybody knows how to access it and Khan gets his inbox swamped with "discoveries" of the Easter Egg pretty much simultaneously.

Honestly, I believe this is a clever marketing ploy to get people to actually play his game rather than collect it to sit on a shelf. Kudos to anyone that openly encourages people to play more games!!!

The easter egg will use tiles that are used elsewhere, so there won't be any easy way to track it down.

And if anyone accidentally stumbles on it, which is possible I guess, I'll figure something out.

It's definitely a marketing ploy, but I want people to have fun looking for hidden stuff.

And the person who wins the mystery game can do what they will with it. If they want to dump it, that's fine. If people start making repros, that's fine too. Just put my logo on it!

Yes
But first, you'll need a ski mask, a gun, and a fast getaway car with no tags. Next, find a convienience/liquor store in a bad part of town. I think you'll know what to do from there!

Use ski mask to attach gun to car's wheels so it fires when you turn. Drive around for 4th of July fireworks demonstrations in front of the liquor store and collect donations. Is that right?

Just doing a little more tweaking to the game, finishing up my killer '80s soundtrack, adding a few sound effects, making sure I don't have any mindblowing bugs, and we'll be good to go.

Not too much longer of a wait!
