We can have Bimmy chime in too, just to be sure. I thought I had another life left and I was so upset that I didn't even think to pause for score. It's tough to keep track when you've gotten so many extra lives.
I might have time to try again, just in case it is not acceptable, but I'm not sure. I'll leave my other score up in the meantime.
That was such a magical run. I almost didn't make it out of Level 1, and then I just kept going and going. I really thought I had it beaten again but got too careless there at the end. A better Level 1 and I would have for sure beaten the game.
How difficult is it to learn to beat Ikari Warriors compared to learning how to beat Battletoads? Apparently it only took you a few months to beat IW, which is about the same amount of time that it takes a persistent player to beat Battletoads for the first time.
The main difference might be that Ikari Warriors has horribly flawed mechanics so it's a much bigger chore to memorize.
Ikari Warriors is harder because the movement is so slow, you get fewer lives, and no continues.
Battletoads is a little harder because you aren't often doing the same thing twice.
Both games take roughly the same amount of time to finish.
Ikari Warriors is the harder game from my point of view, and it's not particularly close.
