Ah man I love 8bc AND Bit Shifter. The stuff people can do with LSDj is amazing. I wish they were still making carts for the gameboy, so I could get a copy.

I really like Alex Mauer, Disasterpiece, Shawn Phase, and a couple of others. I'll have to check out some of the others people here have recommended.

I listen to Alex Mauer songs from my little ol' Vegavox cart, which I wish I can find the dump for so I can put some extended tracks on my iPhone. But meh, at least I got my cart.

I also like 8-bit remixes of modern day songs and bands. That stuff is always pretty cool.

heres a definitive list, while it doesnt contain all artists, this is a good list to start with if you're looking to break into it. ive been involved with the demoscene and the chipscene since 97, so over the years i've developed a pretty huge collection of the stuff. some of this might be a lil harder to find, but all of these artists are worthwhile, sorry if i left anybody real important out, its by no means a complete list but merely a point of reference.

Anyone successfully created an 8-bit/chip tune pandora station? All the ones that I try and make end up playing garbage after an hour or so.

They're going to be at the Rock and Roll Hotel.  Doors at 8.  Last time I was in DC for a show was Freezepop at The Velvet Lounge across from the RNR Hotel a few years ago.
I'll be up around Baltimore on the 8th, I'm assuming since I'm shuttling a friend to Otakon.
