As some of you may know I've been breaking away from the retro development recently, and headed to a more mainstream platform to see how publishing games for a modern platform would go.

Over the last few months with much work, I've finally got Chunkout for the iPhone and iPad nearly read for release. Check out our new trailer for the iPhone in the link below. Hopefully if all things fall into place, this should be in the App Store within the next few weeks!

Very cool James, I'm assuming you've got the hang of it now. Do you plan on doing anything else for the iphone after this?

That's cool. Are you using a game engine? I have been using Cocos2D for my games and I highly recommend it for anyone getting into iPhone game development.

He probably wrote his own.

Next up: XBLA XNA version. XNA Should be good enough to handle it. Or maybe a SNES version? ;D Good job dude! Keep it up. Although doesn't writing the same game get super boring? I can't stand rewrite of a engine, let alone a full game 10+ times, haha.

I used the Corona SDK for writing the game, it makes cross platform compilation a breeze, so an Android version will be easy to drop out in the future.

A SNES version was on my radar, but I'll see how making some other iPhone games goes for a while

SNES was on my radar, but I'll probably stick to the iPhone for a while and see how that goes. In a way it's kind of cool having the same game published on a range of platforms, and it's a neat way to learn the various systems architectures. That said however, the next released game will be quite different

I saw the facebook post first...and thought it was GREAT. Down side is I don't own a ipad or iphone....

Purchased my copy, thanks James! I really love this game, as frustrating as it can be sometimes, but I know for certain I'll play the hell out of it on my iPhone. Best $.99 I've spent in a long time.
