I need my Everdrive to get here asap so I can fix that wrongdoing!  

I almost guarantee I will finish below top 8 this week, even if I can beat it with 10 or less lives!
 

I need a top 3 finish this week, and to finish ahead to Tables.  
Luckily, I am just bad at Contra rather than terrible, so it might be possible.
 

pecker use up as many lives as you can. dont shoot anything. 
 

Gotta do some sort of math shit to get a score though. So wouldn't having more lives at the end be better?

 

That's the beauty of this contest, you gotta do math shit, finding the best compromise between shooting things (or not) and lose less lives as possible.

It would be fun if Benihana tries to defend his Contra win this week.

And I do love me some math shit. This will be another fun week, just like Klax.
And unlike Klax, I am just plain bad at Contra.  

 

Yeah I thought about you naturally, Crazy Math Bea. I'm sure you'll muster a neat strategy math-wise.

The best strategy is simple : you kill as few enemies as possible while not losing any lives. The problem is : can you do it? Every players will need to adjust their run to their Contra skills.

wait so do you earn points when you lose kives? im lost...
 

I am wondering about that too. Stage 1 is pretty simple to get through only killing the boss, but stage 2 and on gets much trickier.
It will be a fun challenge, even though I haven't touched Contra in a good while.
I will do a clean run on the everdrive before delving onto an emulator to reverse engineer and figure stuff out, at least.

Skinny Boy, here's the rule : If you beat the game, divide your score by the number of lives you have remaining


Example :
700,000 divide by 1 = 700,000
                                 2 = 350,000
                                 3 = 233,333.3333333333333333333333333
                                 10 = 70,000
                                 30 = 23,333.333333333333333333333333333333333333333 (yes, there's more 3s for no reason)
                                 38 = 18421.052631578947 (and a lot of other useless numbers).

Fun game. I think Contra III is better, and way fucking harder, but I will enjoy this week
