Rules:
You play as Light Army
You start first
Participation point: Finish a game, win or lose.
To win a game, you must defeat all enemy's units. Winning by occupying all magic fields doesn't count.

Scoring system:
Lose: 1000 + (computer's units remaining) = Your score
Win: (Number of turns to win) - player's remaining units = Your score

Lowest score wins.

The contest ends Sunday, 2/27/11 at 10 PM NA time, 9 PM central time.  Your user name must be in the picture for your score to be valid.  The entire TV screen, or computer monitor if you are playing on an emulator, MUST be in the picture for the score to be valid.  No partial screenshots will be considered or accepted.

Just finished playing a couple rounds. This game kicked my ass. Although I had no idea what I was doing. I'm understanding it more though. Pretty much like chess, but the game pieces battle it out. Interesting game, don't remember playing this as a kid.

Dude I kill this game. I can easily destroy this score tonight. Once you get the hang of it, it's a totally awesome game, though the light army is at a slight disadvantage.

I would never probably have played this game without this competition lol. Luckily i have it. I did a once through, and got my ass kicked. I lost in 47 turns lol. I wanna try a few more times before i post it though haha.

First time ever playing this game, I could see it being pretty fun, not sure if I will have time to play again though.

How the heck do you come up with a score on this game. My god man could you have picked a better game. This one is friggin awful.

Sorry if I wa sharsh quill didnt really mean to be. I still have no idea were you guys are coming up with a score. I played through it once tonight. Ive never been that good at chess or strategy type stuff.

We like to diversify the type of games for the contest. At some point, creating a score system for a game is an option. Like it or not, I personally think we played worst games so far in the contest that had their own scoring system.

Also, no problem about your comment, it's your opinion and I can respect that.

Ben, you need to come up with your own score after the game. My score, 1008, is 1000 points for losing to the dark team plus 8 because the dark team had 8 guys left. As it says in the first post the lower the score the better. Mog's score is so low because he actually beat the computer, unlike me.

Going to play now. Let's see how I do after a couple month's hiatus.

Ahhh, took too much timing moving around 85 turns this time. Let's have another go NOW.

74, getting closer!

You really need to move to attack early, using weaker troops to pick away at the dark side if you want to get close to that score. 65 isn't that easy to beat, pretty fast moving attacker.

Indeed, the scoring system used really modify the usual tactical approach to beat the game strategically. To achieve a very low score, you need to attack fast, taking a lot of risky decisions and succeed in them. I'll play a few games later to see how I can do.

This might be the game I kill it, VERY close to finishing. Haven't been counting moves, but it's low. One trick is to use the unicorn (hereby referred to as THE CORN) to whittle away at lesser troops. Often, the dark side will make the mistake of attacking you with more lesser troops or somewhat powerful ones. The corn is fast, however, and I was able to take out six different troops before he finally kicked the bucket.

Ahhhh, was doing awesome that last game and took too many chances. Oh well, I'll give it more tomorrow.

Oh, wait, wasn't looking right! FECKING HELL!!!!!! I didn't take a picture, so it doesn't matter. My turns were 74, but I had 7 troops remaining. Shit. Oh well, if you guys need the proof via camera shot I can play again tomorrow. I didn't read the above clearly enough, I thought the turns was the score so I didn't bother to take the picture because I thought I was over. Damn it.
