Now imagine how many sealed super mario bros would come out of the woodwork if there was news of a $40k sale!

Ya this is a new one,the one that went for $41k last year did not have this kind of damage to it.

I don't see that?  It says "series 2" which is what the box says, is that what you're looking at?

I sent that seller several messages asking about it.   She never did reply.   I suspect side deal.   If she still had it why not reply to expressions of interest and/or relist.   Especially since she, IIRC, really wanted/needed the money.

My bet:

30k reserve.

It won't get there.

High bid: $22,500

She's probably on a huge high/rush after finding out this game's value and isn't thinking realistic.

link, that's pretty much what I was going to guess. $30k reserve, with a high teens/low 20's bid.

Great Pennsylvanian minds think a...bout beer and tits.  However, I totally agree with you on this.

That copy looks GREAT by the way.  This will be fun to watch!

Being from that area, $22500 is a years salary for most people there so this is a jackpot for them. Thats why I no longer live there.
Anyway, I agree that the reserve will not be met.

Yeah 8-bit and I live on the other side of the state...thankfully we both do better than $22k, but I totally understand where you're coming from. PA has always been a blue-collar area, and blue-collar is more like "unemployed-collar" these days.
