Hey guys,

Just like what the post says plus I'm a Wii virgin, never owned one until now =O . I got it off a guy from Craigslist, meet at a Starbucks and a deal was struck. The games he included were; The Force Unleashed, Mad World, Geometry Wars, Press Your Luck, Mad Dog McRee, Space Chimps, Onechanbara Bikini Zombie Slayer, Wii Sports and Wii Sports Resort.. The only thing is it doesn't have cover for the Gamecube ports but It's no biggie plus it had some scuff marks so cleaned it with one of those magic sponges. It works perfectly wi-fi iworks and I updated everything for good measure.

So the question I pose to you is this (actually a few sry =/) .
Did I get a good deal plus other than Mario Sunshine and Smash Bros which I'll buy down the line which games can you suggest for the Wii-noob?

Punch Out is the only game I even fire my Wii up for. Let me know how Onechanbara is. Like the 360 version, but haven't found a copy of the Wii one yet.

"It's always amazing to me how some of the most worthless games from a gaming perspective tend to fetch outrageous amounts of money. But then again, it could be said that something is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it. I'm curious if the high bidder of the $873.04 Stadium Events (cart-only) realizes that it's nowhere nearly as rare as about 20+ games I can think of that sell for 1/10th that amount?  At any rate, I wanted to draw attention to this trend: if people say it's rare, it must be true, and therefore it must be had at any price."

I'm actually playing Alien Hominid on mine right now. It's a Gamecube game, but it's cheap, and it's pretty damn fun. Sidescrolling shooter, gameplay similar to Contra, and difficulty is about on par with Mega Man.

Swords and Soldiers is an absolute must own on Wii Ware as well IMO.  Great 2D scrolling strategy game with a good story and 3 playable factions.

Just soft mod the thing and go nuts with NES/SNES/Genesis emulators and, um, other "unsavory" things you can do with a hacked Wii....

Not bad at all! Usually a used Wii is 100 bucks without the games. Ordering new dust covers for your Gamecube controller and memory card ports are real cheap, about around $5.00 more or less, so it's no biggie there. Good deal IMO.

Have fun with Mad World for a while. It gets a little repetetive in the later stages, but it's a short game.

I'd recommend downloading Mega Man 9 + 10, and buying No More Heroes and Sin & Punishment 2.

Softmodding gets a lot more fun with a Wii that's without a D3-2 drive! =D
