It pretty much falls in the same catagory. Sports Entertainment which usually means there is scripted acting involved. I think most people don't remember the show as it came out when roller derby was pretty much dead.

Love this game. The controls and mechanics can be tricky. Also some of those jumps can be frustrating. Don't think I ever beat it. At least it has unlimited continues.

I did a 1CC tonight! Only lost two lives. No deaths until 6-2. And I beat the final boss on my first try which I couldn't believe.

 

Very very nostalgic game for me and a game no one talks about. I think it's a blast. My brother and I would always be the fat guy and get stuck in the manhole.

I enjoy it! It's a solid Konami entry. Captain nominated me to try it as 1 deather or a 1 cc (I can't recall quite which) and I got into the game but never quite accomplished either.

I've done a 1cc a couple times now. I know I can no death it, but are some sections such as the rafts where I tend to choke. The game gets pretty hard by the second section of 5-1 and doesn't let up much until the end.

 

I did a one death run. One stupid death in 5-1. No deaths run should be happening soon.

The nice thing about Rollergames is it's a shorter game (< 25 min to beat no-death), so it's not like your runs could end 45+ minutes in.

 

Yeah it's a short game. And it doesn't start to get hard for me until 5-1. That stupid crumbling path will always make me a little nervous.
 

The final boss is also easy once you get the timing down for jump kicking him right after he jump kicks. Just be careful to avoid his attacks because his combos take a bunch of health.
