I had two solid finds in the past 7 days. I am very glad I live in a small city and can nail 8 thrift stores in under 3 hours.

I had hit up all 8 and just found some ebay priced PS1 games which I grabbed up. At the last store I was going to visit, I was looking by the long glass counter at the front of the store. There were some shopping carts of unworked merchandise. Looking inside of one of them, I reached behind the counter into the cart and grabbed this without even asking. $15.

Today I found all of the following games for $2 each at a small store I have been getting lucky at, except for the SNES games. The SNES games I paid $3 each off of a response to an ad.

The bible game is NIB. It slightly bows inside on the front center. Other than that it is mint. I was really glad about Kings Quest II for computer. I saw speedrun just last week and thought it was interesting.

I picked this up for $50.

I never thought I would see this console in person, let alone own it. I can't bear to part with it no matter what it's worth. The console and games were very dirty. It took me 90 minutes to get everything this clean.

My girlfriend had bought one of these. She and I both had the same idea, I would use a strip of it on the box I used to ship anything video game related. I found another at goodwill, probably donated from target. I'm not sure if I want to hold onto it or use it.

A few treasures I've collected over the past month.

Pricing was completely arbitrary. The Gameshark came with a horribly beat up harry potter for Gameboy advance for $4. Both Pokemon games where 3$ each, Zelda was $5, Donkey Kong was $2, and the Gameboy Advance SP was $6 no cable.

I'm not sure what the Gameshark thing is. I tried using it but it doesn't do anything and it seems to be worth a bit. Anyone know?

Surprised at how few comments you've gotten. Cool stuff all around. The line "[...] says excuse me, and puts on the shelf Sonic & Knuckles and Pokemon Stadium, priced at $3 each [...]" is the kind of timing you need around here to get anything.

You were also get some seriously awesome hauls early in the thread. Expensive but so worth it.

Easter is upon us! I found this Mario Paint easter egg painting kit. The original owners used up the stickers and dye tablets but left the punch out Zelda Link to the Past characters. One of a kind item methinks!

Here are some finds from over the past few days. Was pretty lucky.

System was priced at $45 and games were $3 each, total was like $71 with tax. Not the best price but this has been on my want list for a very long time.

Slim PS2 with all cables, official controller, third party controller. Official controller has rubber tore off. Paid $20 for it.

Games underneath were $2 or $3 dollars each. Impressed with the PS1 games I picked up. I may actually have to try these out.

The PSX version of Warcraft II is inferior to the PC version, but better then the Saturn version, and is still solid. If you want to play some WCII and don't have the PC version easily accessible its totally worth playing.

Yes.

PC version is better, but the PSX version is solid as well. I believe they also let you remap any function to any key as well. No dual shock support though, but thats a minor complaint. And if you're a fan of the PSX Gameshark, that adds another dozen hours of entertainment.

Seconding Entity on Warcraft II. That game is fantastic on the PSX, but it's nothing as nice as the PC version but it's very good regardless. Blizzard was nice to the system as they also put Diablo on there, and personally I find it load times aside superior because you can use the control pad instead of sketchy mouse control. I used to own both games and they're must haves.

Picked this stuff up throughout the day.  Sega Genesis games were $3.00 each.

Price tags where removed along with games from plastic bags.  From the same store, games where randomly bagged together and randomly priced.  No ryhme or reason.  Not sure what is all over everything, smells like lipstick but is very greasy.  Super Mario cleaned off the the label looks slightly stained with grease..

I've also started looking through books more closely and found this FF3 guide.  It's a huge book!

Blue controller has a loose throttle.

I just got my Bible Adventures game graded. I'm not into VGA or new games (unless its a game I like) so it's up for sale/trade.

Paid $50 total for these. Normally I don't like paying that much but I only had Mario Kart Wii and Super Mario 64 DS.

Everything was from this past Sunday morning.

Garage sale #1-

NIB black gamecube controller (my favourite color!)- $5.00

6 NES games w/ manuals and sleeves - $10.00

Garage sale #2-

I bought each game without even looking inside for $2.00 each. Walking back to the car, I checked Mario 64 DS. Instead of Mario 64 DS, it had Pokemon Soul Silver and Mario Advance 2 for GBA with manual! I quickly opened the other case to find it had Pokemon Ranger and Lego Star Wars for GBA.

I was 15 minutes late for the start of the first neighborhood sale. I found out I caught up to who had been buying everything up to that point. After a few houses I saw him scanning a sealed board game right in front of the owner and he asked if he had any legos.

I walked across the street to another sale and asked if they had any games and she told me no. I looked around for a bit and saw that reseller holding up a black Wii box. I was so upset I walked halfway past the driveway, then stopped, walked back over and pretended to look until he put the box back down. Right away I went over to it and picked it up. I heard him ask how much was the Wii without realizing I grabbed it and the answer was $30, which is what I got the system, box, paperwork, controllers for. No styrofoam in box.

I went to another nearby neighborhood sale. By 9:40 I was informed that multiple people had already asked for games. Later a lady pulled out a box of mostly random junk PC and PS2 games and bought FF for $5, and $7 for both of the PS2 games.

This is why I never find anything at garage sales. Most of it's gone within a couple hours. That's okay, I'll just wake up at 6 every morning.

Sucks that you ran into a lot of competition. Also surprised you got the Wii without dying. I would have been stabbed to death by the reseller if they saw me pick it up then heard how cheap it was.

Do you get glared at or annoyed grunts when you ask about games?
