I was going to wait to post my score to see if I might be able to make a better attempt before the end of the month.  I will post an official score, don't worry!

I think to keep things consistent I'll have to require the original SFII.  But there's plenty of time to fill the gaps in your collection and most of these are reasonably priced

Well remember the winners are based on final cumulative scores, so finishing 7th or 8th is still better than nothing at all

I really like the monthly format. I would probably try the NES contest a bit more if I had more time so this is great.

I like it too, you think you could find time in a week, but somehow I never do. I've been acquainting myself with Castlevania over the past few days, and hopefully I'll be able to put up a score by Sunday. What a great game, it's sweet to get the initiative to finally play through it.

Just in case anyone was mislead by this, I meant do not begin play of a competition run (which should be obvious).  You are free to practice any of the titles as much as you want

Even the most abysmal of scores right now would be worth 3 points on the leaderboard

Seriously though, my score was around there on the first try too

Nice site too.  I've actually long fantasized about doing something like that for SNES.  Maybe some day when I don't have 50 other projects in my life...

I am better than that score would indicate, but I have been playing every game pretty horribly as of late and this was no exception. I haven't played SC4 in a few years either.

I appreciate you checking out the site! That's the main reason my score isn't what it could be.

I played this quite a bit on Tuesday and I have a score to upload, but I think I can do better.  I will definitely have a score posted by tomorrow night.  I also ordered a copy of Super Smash TV the other day so I can play that one once February rolls around.  The only two other games I need to buy are Super Mario Kart and Tetris Attack, so you can pretty much count me on board for all of these unless the NES Weekly Contests start sucking up a lot of my time.
