Hey guys! This is my first sale on NA. I've been lurking awhile and I know it may cause some hesitation amongst some on you but I'm willing to work with you guys however I can. I'm selling to purchase a Wii U!

I'm selling the notorious ClayFighter Sculptor's Cut for 180 dollars. I'm from Louisiana (USA) and if anyone wants to purchase at that price with shipping, the game is yours. We can do business through my paypal account. Thanks guys.

EDIT: Here's a picture http://imgur.com/a/mgbZ3
I'll try and clean the marker off with a magic eraser.

After further research, I've decided to lower the price to 180$ plus shipping.

It's the one here.

I've since cleaned off the gunk but the permanent marker is still there.

I figured many would understand since it was a blockbuster exclusive.

I never tried, but I heard lighter fluid works as well.  Probably wouldn't hurt to look that up before trying it on something this rare.

Dont use alcohol as only a few inks will dissolve with it [meaning they will not lift the marker off]. Use Dot 3 brake fluid. Fold up toilet paper and get some dot-3 on it. Then dab the toilet paper on the marker so it is wet and gently rub in circular motions. Then dab again so the marker is wet with dot 3 fluid. Let sit for a minute and repeat the gentle circular motion rubbing. It will dissolve the marker ink so you can remove all of the marker. If you happened to have the cart shell stained [brown] by the ink, then you will want to use isopropanol [rubbing alcohol] with a lot of elbow grease. Just be careful not to get any of the dot 3 or the isopropanol on the label.

Here is a link to a thread where someone used dot-3 to clean up a Little Samson for the people out there that think dot 3 is too harsh or wont work.

I would avoid magic eraser as it will sand down the shell of the cart as well.

Magic Eraser is the best possible way. Just rub gently and it won't hurt the cart.

It is a microscale sand paper. You will sand down the surface of the shell even if you gently rub.

Dot-3 is the best way with least amout of work.

If someones worried that I'll ruin the cart trying to clean it, they can buy it and clean it themselves. These are useful tips but this is a cart I"m looking to sell. That being said, the magic eraser seems like the safest way to me.

You're right, it will remove some of the shell to a degree that is un-noticeable to the human eye.

I'd be worried about a stray drop of DOT-3 finding the label and either discoloring or removing the ink. You don't run that risk with the eraser.

But you do run that risk. You can ruin the label with the magic eraser. Dot 3 will not discolor or remove ink if you accidentally get some on the label. It just makes it look a little wet.

EDIT: Also, I want to add that if you are using enough brake fluid for it to run or drip from the toilet paper, then you are using WWWAAYYY... too much.

Good luck on the sale. Not trying to hijack your thread by spreading the awareness of dot 3 being the best marker removal method.

lol, I guess I'm just more comfortable with the eraser because if it does drip anything, it's just water.

also, sorry about the hijacking, OP

Magic erasers are very iffy when it comes to cleaning cartridges. Theyll remove muck, grime, and writing, but will give a visible loss of luster, even if you gingerly wipe the cart. Think about it, youre rubbing it hard enough to get rid of the markings, it must be doing something to the shell.

I would suggest covering the exposed spots, like the label, and contacts, then letting alcohol drip down the marker. Wipe it down with a paper towel, repeat if necessary and voila!

I'm right outside of New Orleans. Wasn't looking to ship though. I like to inspect them and all that stuff.
