You did specifically state:

"No emulators allowed (Almost everyone should have Tetris in their collection)" 

Which implies that it is cart only,because everyone should own the Tetris cart. 

That would disallow everdrives,powerpacks,etc...correct?
 


The general rule of thumb when it comes to contests with no emulators is that Power Paks and Everdrives are okay.  What we are going for is people actually playing the games on actual hardware as opposed to a computer.  I added the statement about Tetris being in almost everyone's collection as a reason for why there will be no emulator use.  Tetris is a fairly common game to find on the NES, and if someone wanted to own the actual cart, it wouldn't be hard for them to go out and find.

Man, I thought I was good at this game as a kid. After about an hour of playing last night, I just barely got over the participation score once.

Don't feel bad. When I played some last week I didn't do much better and I used to be able to get to levels 20-24 on a fairly regular basis. I'll probably post my honorary score here in a bit. Hopefully I can come up with something decent.

Major changes made to the rules. I am removing the rule about emulators not being allowed. You may now use emulators for Tetris, which means those of you who do not have the cart do not have to go out and get one. For those who have already purchased one just for this contest, I apologize for any sort of inconvenience. If we ban emulators for this week, we are only going to lose participants.
