rdrunner's video came in really handy, nothing special compared to you dudes... but I doubled my previous score. thanks Tom!

Hey y'all, think I'll start playing along with the weekly contests again. Looks like the game choices have been very fun so far. Let's start wit' a little Participation... just getting my feet wet with this one, One lifing DK is pretty hard but I'm sure I'll get better with practice. Some really impressive scores so far. Will update this post with better scores I hope...

Are you just running for points?  Because you could likely get that by loop 5 or 6 by getting points in other areas.  I guess later it makes more sense to run for the max time, but just in case I die I point crush wherever I can.

Every time I go for lots of points in one area I inevitably make a stupid mistake

Played a few games,didn't really do well on any of them. I kept making stupid mistakes. My heart just wasn't into it today. I think I'm kinda Marioed out to be honest. I pray to the gaming gods that the next game in the contest does not involve Mario at all.

It wouldn't count anyway, because you used all your lives. This is a one-life contest.

Sorry, but the score won't count.  Screen captures aren't acceptable for submissions.  Plus, all pictures need proof that you only used one life.  It's a great score and I'm sure you'll be able to do just as good again.

I know this isn't a great score and it will only earn my a participation point, but up until this very run I had never even made it through a single loop of the levels without dying so I was happy to do it more than once this time.  I even did a pretty nerve racking jump in between two flame guys on the 3rd level because they had me backed up against DK.

Thanks guys! This is one of the few games that isn't a shooter that I am really good at. I still am gonna try to trump this score, because I have to think it'll be topped. I need to work on building up points in the earlier loops so I don't have to rely as much on getting past loop 8

I got to 132,000 late last night but forgot to pause, a barrel killed me, and it looked as if I used two lives instead of the one so it wouldn't have counted anyways.
