date says 1996 it hase a dip switch on it and on the front it says NUS-64

It might be what the labels in Japanese say, but that's just a guess. Seriously cool item you have there! Hopefully it boots so you can find out what the contents are. Keep us posted

Im real curious what the second cart is. IIRC NUS stands for Nintendo Ultra Sixtyfour (N64) so I wonder why that would be on a SNES game.

The Sound Factory cartridge has me very captivated. Let us know how that goes.

it is sound factory, but some how i dont get past the start screen the controller dasn't work.

maybe beacuse i used a converter and not a super famicom?

The NUS-64 cart worked the first time, the screen says something with a converter and caution, then the screen got black and played a tune. after that it didnt worked anymore.

PLEASE tell me you can't burn a cart by playing it on a converter? the back of the cart dasn't say super famicom. 

Well, I know that Sound Factory was made with the SNES mouse in mind. You might need to use the mouse In order to get it to function correctly.

The converter won't make any sort of difference, so don't worry about damaging it.

Try it on a real Japanese Super Famicom or US SNES. It might have detected it running on a PAL SNES. Those converters aren't perfect and even modern ones like that Fire FX are known to have issues with non-standard/special chip carts, e.g SA-1 (Super Mario RPG). With the 1996 date on the PCB, it probably has some advanced detection methods.

It feels like a Mario Paint sequel. I really want to try it out. I looked on SimTunes, this seems really to be powerful actually, it just depends on how you use it. Hell, I'll even make a song in it just to show that you can.

I also saw it's on eBay. I REALLY wish someone would dump it. It's way too important to lose it.

The only reason I'm not as sad to see this one sold off for the exuberant price the seller is asking is because, although it would make a nice compliment to software preservation, it was ported to the PC as SimTunes, which I own. Not exactly a favorite to be honest. But if I had something worth this much ($15,000) or had that amount in my hard earned money to spend on something I really wanted (Twelve Tales and Dragon Hopper being the only ones that come to mind) I would release it for free. I can't recall anyone being dedicated enough to put down that much for a ROM release from any community effort I've seen thus far, or else I've been out of the loop. That day may eventually come as I slowly accumulate savings in my account, careful not to buy things I don't actually need by any means possible. But for now, we'll just have to wait another decade or so for a generous donor to share this. Who knows?

I'm not really thinking like you do.

We're dealing with a Nintendo R&D1 game that wasn't released, and has more than SimTunes actually has, that PC "port" only has Pix Quartet. Sound Factory (in this case) has Pix Quartet, Beat Hopper and Star Fly, and MAYBE the 4th mode is actually in there but hidden because it wasn't ready for show. Maybe. TCRF people can do that work, perhaps maybe I can.

And who knows what Nintendo can do with possible easter eggs and the little things that would make you think it's Nintendo, that I'm sure wouldn't be on SimTunes in any way...
It's a Nintendo game, not a Maxis game here. And because of that I'm pretty mad that the dump isn't available yet.

EDIT:
I also want to say that I won't try to force the guy to make the dump available, that's his choice. But as far as I love the SNES, I'm all about game preservation, and I'm all about making dumps of every protos and make them all available.
I also don't think making the dump available will make the proto cheaper in my opinion as well. Else EarthBound carts would be pretty cheap because the ROM was available.
