Edit:   I am going to make this an ongoing thread since a sealed price guide is basically impossible.   I'll post notable sales from time to time and encourage others to do the same.

This sale if legit is crazy!   Does anyone recognize the buyer?

This sale is pretty healthy too and this one is for sure legit.   I can tell by the feedback # that its anthroman2008, who also bought my metroid 85 at $699.

Here's a zelda 80 and ungraded link set at $1600.    Its enough to make me rethink having sold my graded 85 for 900 :/    Buyer is anthroman again so must be legit.

Yeah that has to be anthroman on those 2. I see him winning sealed games like its nothing. As for the other 2, yes it must be the same person. Man he overpaid by alot for Mario 1. Money must not be the top priority for him.

that part that kills me about that mario 1 is its not even that nice a copy! I mean I could maaaaybe see someone going crazy if it was case fresh or something, but its clearly not.

Yeah, I wonder who this guy is... looks like a new collector with serious bank. I think we'll see him around again on other auctions to come.

That Tetris at least looks like it's a nice copy. As Bronty said, what's so mind-boggling about the SMB sale is that it isn't even a good copy. I guess there are some crazy buyers out there with apparently a lot more money than they have patience.

I can't believe those Zeldas did sell for that much lately. I have a very Near-Mint copy of Zelda II which has been sitting online for almost five months now. I think there are 24 pics shown in my description and no one has been tempted yet.

That tetris SO wasn't worth it. Obvious dings, no better than an 85. I just sold mine for $45 BO and was _VERY_ happy to get that. That's the highest one's gone for in three months before that BO.

no way is tetris sealed worth 200 bucks. one of the more common sealed games in my opinion. WAY overpriced... makes me rethink passing on yours dan.... but than again i'd rather have a weird-harder to find sealed game than one i can get pretty much any day of the week.

if the $2500 sale is legit, absolutely.   But the 1k one, as surpising as it maybe should be, is not as much of a shocker as there have been several others in the 500-800 range the last year or so.   Actually a vga 85 one went for 950 or 1k in that auction six months ago too.

The $2500 sale we don't believe is legit (along with all of the other auctions that buyer won from bassman) - he hasn't paid yet. My Mario 1 sale is legit though - the guy paid for it already. It's not mint but it is a pretty nice copy. No major flaws at all. So it's not a big surprise (to me). I had 3-4 other people message me about it after I listed it, so there is clearly demand for it.

People were asking bassman about the sales on another forum.  Last time he replied, he said the buyer hadn't paid him for them yet.

I also see this buyer of bassman's bought yet another bassman game (chrono trigger, $2500)

An unrelated buyer appears to have bought a mike tyson's punchout for $900.

800 for mario party? Goddamn. Hmm... always strikes me as odd when I see people overpaying on payment plans though. That's stretching yourself in two ways at once.

still - I guess it looks like all these sales are pretty legit. These are amazing numbers.

I agree those sales are crazy. A Zelda silver seal just sold for 600. That was an auction.
