Thanks Guts! It took me all week to finally no-death the thing. I am stoked I was able to clear it before the contest end.  I have been playing SMB almost exclusively for like 2 weeks straight.  I think if my wife hears any more coin blingy sounds she is going to throw me out!

Did you win the fastest to 100 coins contest? I never looked. I'm pretty happy overall with how I played although I know I probably missed out on a ton of points with all my runs. Doubt I'll remain in the top 10,but then again SMB is not one of my stronger games so it's kind of expected. I've had a blast playing it and doing so had made me appreciate the game even more.

I got super lucky hitting the last number 6 on the flag on 4 of the worlds plus I tried to hit every single block, enemy, and get all the powerups. I initially ran through only hitting the warp in 4-2 and realized its not a furthest along, high score setting so I had to change my game plan and just destroy all the things.

nah bogomil got me in the tiebreaker, put together a really solid run that i would have been lucky to match let alone beat. i think i lost by 2 or 3 clock seconds (not sure what that is in realtime) it was fun to have a really direct competition like that at the end though. it was probably more intense for me than the 2013 year end tournament was.

i am most definetly ready to play a different game though.

Been pretty busy this week and going out to a friend's house for a little party for The Walking Dead tonight so I probably won't be able to get a SMB score posted. I should be able to get one posted this week for Marble Madness, though!

Too stupid a death to be forgiveable on that one

Was small going into 7-4, though, because defying all odds I managed to get hit by the final Buzzy Beetle in 7-3 to lose a fire flower...  if I had made it to the boss, I was guess 40-60 odds on actually running past him safely :/

I'm curious if the high bidder of the $873.04 Stadium Events (cart-only) realizes that it's nowhere nearly as rare as about 20+ games I can think of that sell for 1/10th that amount?  At any rate, I wanted to draw attention to this trend: if people say it's rare, it must be true, and therefore it must be had at any price."

Well, I edited my original post with a new score. Still a participation point, but hey, half a mil is pretty respectable in my opinion

289,350 on 3-4

Could've done better, but in the 20 minutes it took to get this, I got sick of playing it, so yeah, that's it.

Best run for the week, I'm a little disappointed cause I wanted to no death the game but didn't actually had that good run where everything is in place. I know there's a 800k run in me waiting to be performed, but I couldn't find the appropriate time to do it.

Congrats to everyone, this was one great week with a lot of awesome scores and full of participation. Now it's time to lose your marbles and let your mind float into the madness.

Does anyone else have to play with tons of distractions like little kids running right in front of you or really loud talking?

I'm pretty disappointed, I have no time this week to get some playing time in. I had to set aside time to make a single run, not having played this game in many years. Here's to hoping for miracles next week.

Something that might help you is that Marble Madness only takes about 5 minutes to beat.

11ET, which is for some reason the 'NA time'.

There's a clock at the top of the screen.  It was used to syncronize end times for the NA auctions (among other things).  It's set to EST, which I always assumed is Dain's time zone, but it's meant to be an alternative to having to figure out what time it is in your own time zone.

Auction times makes perfect sense indeed. I never really questionned the NA time cause I'm in a EST zone. NA Time is my Time

It's 2 hours ahead for me.  Once you know that it's not difficult to remember, but since there are people who do have difficulty with such things, it totally makes sense.

I gave it one decent attempt just to get on the scoreboard, ended up getting pretty far. 522,350 in stage 7-1. Stupid hammer bro jumped all the way down. I really didn't do anything to try and increase my score, just beat the levels quickly. I have beaten it before in one life without warping, which took a while and was a great accomplishment for me at the time.
