My sealed SNES controller, sealed LoZ 2, my handhelds from when I was a kid (along with the games I had for them), and my NFR Mario Party 3 with a N64 kiosk arm. Probably be the closest I ever get to owning an actual kiosk because my luck is shitty, those things are hard to find in the wild and I'm surrounded by resellers and other collectors.

My want list: http://www.nintendoage.com/forum/messageview.cfm?catid=56&am...

Trading: Lots of Pokemon cards, broken systems, Final Fantasy figures, Inuyasha figures, older PC games - PM me for more info! Also on the hunt for Earthbound!

(>'.')> I HAVE ASPERGERS, SO IF I SAY SOMETHING THAT SEEMS RUDE, I MIGHT NOT MEAN FOR IT TO BE RUDE!!!! <('.'<)

You know, if you don't mind.... why did you get rid of your childhood games? Your current collection is kind of prolific. Why did you get rid of your games initially?

Nothing in my KI collection. I'm preserving, not just collecting. If I had to narrow it down to one item though.....I probably couldn't do it, lol.

-------------------------
In search for and willing to buy Killer Instinct related items, including: Apparel, advertising, promotional, games, hardware, arcade, and pretty much anything KI related.
Top items needed: KI leather jacket, Fulgore cardboard standee, paper clip holder, Killer Instinct 2 SNES prototype, and any Nintendo employee given items.

Cause I was a dumb kid? I don't really know that I could adequately explain at 35 the motivations of my ~10 year old self for doing...anything he did.

I honestly can't think of a single piece of gaming collectible that I wouldn't sell.

Talk to me from 2009-2014, and I'd have a much different answer for you.

Give me the current market value for all of the video game stuff I own and I'm good to go. I wouldn't let go of my childhood consoles for the current rate but offer me 2-3 times that and I would do it.

I would probably re-invest the money into more niece sets than an entire console set. but at the moment i'm too lazy to move this stuff on

I'm strongly attached to my copy of Snatcher. Not because it's rare. But I freaking love that game. I bought it before I had a Sega Cd to play it on. Even if I had to sell it, I would instantly have sellers remorse and buy another copy.

Yep, pretty much.   A more realistic thread would be "how much would it take to pry your "never sellable" stuff out of your collection?

I have 2 games I treasure very much that my Dad got for me for my 17th birthday.   If somebody offered me a grand a piece, I wouldn't take it.

If somebody offered me ten grand each, I'd take it, show my Dad, and we'd both laugh our asses off.

This is one in the thread that I feel will be put to the test. Expect very large offers in your future. No one is offering stupid money people's childhood favorite commons. Impossible to find, popular series interesting variant, sealed? For sure, big money being thrown around./

I don't sell anything because I don't know how and money goes but items don't. It seems like replacements usually cost more. Not true for everything, but I have a lot of out of print music that seems to cost way more now than when I got it. Same for books. Some video games are still cheap but most prices seem to go up not down.

So "any price" sure I'd sell but "price I can actually get" I don't bother.

a few when I first got it, but people seem to know I'm a serious collector and that I'm not going to sell. that, and it isn't a well known piece. no one seems to be hyped for it for a full set, and I'm not going to push the issue
