I've owned this game for a while but never played it more than five minutes. Reading through the comments makes me want to give it another shot.

I find this game infuriating in the same way as R.C. Pro-Am. But I can't deny it's still a neat game.

Got 159,200 back in 2014. Maybe I'll do better than that.

Neat game for sure, but again the plentiful “screw you” moments the game  gives you just keeps me from wanting to play it a ton.

I reached the second "guard the people" stage. Much better score. I just wanted to hit 300k this week.

EDIT: Turns out there is an easy way to cheese that stage in order to beat it every time.

It seems that accuracy in the target stages is crucial to high score. I've reached stage 19, but my score sucked because I wasn't hitting enough of those damned targets. I should be able to have 500k-600k.

EDIT: Never mind. There are other places to rack up points.

Continues are usually allowed when there are limited continues and your score carries over. It's better than having to quickly get a picture at the continue screen.

I expect those who are good at this game to get well over a million with these rules. I know there are levels where you can burn lives to point press (not 1up leeching).

Just habit to play with one life/ one credit rules I suppose.

That glacier stage has stumped me so far.

Also noticed the stages might not run in the same order every game? I could be wrong. And do they run opposite direction sometimes?

I don't think that the icebergs are that bad. Take your time and you can finesse your way through. You're toast if you try to tank it. I have beaten the stage without using force, but it really helps. Activate when the icebergs start to get too fast near the end.

The third mine disposal stage might be the worst that I've encountered so far. That stage is just mean.

I  hate the waterfalls. I try to time it so that I can jump them all in a straight line but that doesn't always work and I'll waste some lives. And I hate the whirlpools. I'll stupidly waste lives to those as well.

The stage order depends on which path you take in the first level, right or left. I always take left. The race before the crab boss also has branching paths.

The whirlpools might be the worst imo. The waterfall doesn’t seem as bad to me.

Also I’ve never saved more than one person. In the protect the people stage.

The whirlpools and logs stage reminds me of the surfing stage from Battletoads, both games by Rare. Except that stage is a lot easier.

You updated before I posted my second place score, hehe. I would have had over 600k had I managed to shoot all the fucking targets.

The third mine disposal stage with the whirlpool can kiss my ass.

The first "guard the people" isn't too bad.

The second one can be cheesed if you know how.
