Lost my first 4 lives to Robo Bitch

That's ok though. I'm currently paused on General Slaughter with 6+ lives left. Never been this far and I'm too nervous to try it yet

He is easy as hell man....just keep jumping over him and hitting him from behind.

Once he starts going really fast hide and duck in the corners.

Well, like I assumed I would I got ran over by Clinger Winger. Not sure if I was going late, or early, or both. Anyways, not sure how much practice I'll be able to get on it, so that may be as far as I can get by Friday. Next run will probably be low score.

I salute you people who can get past Volkmire's. I don't think that my reflexes are up to it, and the limited continues don't give enough opportunities to practice before having to start all the way from the beginning again.

Maybe I'll start on Adventure Island II. I'm not familiar with this game at all.

I'm amazed by how quickly you're progressing through Battletoads. You'll probably have the game beat by Sunday.

I dunno man.  This is what Toxie was talking about.  The further you get, the further it drains your nerves, and the harder it is to think about doing another attempt right away

Plus I was not even close on CW.  That shit goes on forever.

I to this day never do two attempts in a row...."always" take a break.

Clinger is a pain in the ass dude you literally have to play the entire vehicle section perfect, once you make one fuck up it is "over".....it is crazy how spot on you need to be.

I am going to take a wild guess and say that you are pressing on the D-pad to "early" though since it was the same mistake I was making.

Try and press it right on the 90 degree angle, not so much coming up to it or when your character changes direction.

I really wish this game had infinite continues for practicing the later stages. As you say, I just want to turn it off once my game is over. Limited continues are fine for the relatively easy first six stages, but it gets ridiculous after that.

Yep I was pressing early. I forgot I still had continues left obviously, so I've been practicing. And using the pause trick I read about, helps a bit

I actually made it about 95% through on the last life of my 2nd credit so it may not be as bad as I had thought

I'm surprised no one tried to play the gameboy version for this, after all you never said it had to be NES

Hey Brock, now that you've played both, which would you say is harder? Battletoads or Ghosts n Goblins?

Battletoads by a long margin. I've been working my way up to this point for weeks. GnG I played for at most one week (I may of actually quit playing by Friday or Saturday, I don't recall), and reached the bosses of level 6, loop 2 on my first credit.  Since the final boss is a joke I was this close to 1CC'ing it

The CW boss is a bitch. If I can get to that point with lives in reserve I'm confident I can put up a level 12 entry

Oh fuck you'll beat the game man....level 12 is a pain in the ass but I assume if you can get there with 10 or so lives you can practice it enough that with your next continues you should be able to make it all the way through and then the next time beat it.
