So brought in two tubs full of games to one of the local game stores here...guy only took a few out and wouldn't take most of it. I got $50 in store credit which I promptly used. I then went to a local pawn shop to see if they'd take anything...they did...took several stacks of games but I only got $39 for it all and still had games left over. I bought a few games there as well...the rest of the games that they left me with I just donated...I didn't want to deal with them any more. I know I lost money but the stuff I took was all less then $10 so it was worthless to sell online.

Game store:

Genesis Menacer - $0.49
Genesis Budokan - $2
Xbox Pure Pinball - $3 (CIB)
PS2 Obscure - $40 (CIB)

Pawn shop:

PS2 Eternal Ring - $1 (CIB)
DS Dragon Quest IX - $2
GB Qix - $4

Really glad I snagged that Obscure...cheaper then FMV so I guess they do slip up from time to time. I've noticed they will price the same game in their "common" game bins, two different prices. Like for example I found that Menacer for $3 and the one I got for $0.49...0 difference...mine might have even been in better condition honestly. But I didn't think they messed up on prices on the "rare" stuff. Happy to see they do lol. I got the Qix since I think I own it but this one is a label upgrade. And Dragon Quest I own, but at that price I can resell it. The rest was just filler stuff. Eternal Ring is exclusive, as is the two Genesis games and the pinball game. Again I go for exclusives if I find em cheap.

I even managed to make some money off of this...still have $30 so I can save that for this weekend to go hunting with. Yay :3

Jersey is a blackhole, totally agreed

Constantly getting beat by resellers lately...idk if it's because I don't get up at the ass crack of dawn or if it's because I have a life vs these scummers who hunt 24/7 and stalk Craigslist...after months of not finding anything retro in the wild (pawn shops are not wild...they're still shops to a degree...I mean yard sale wild) I finally found some NES games. FINALLY.

Estate sale:

All of it for $15

NES Kings of the Beach
NES Platoon
NES John Elway Quarterback - (Box and game)
NES Double Dribble - (CIB)
NES Bases Loaded II - (CIB)

All of them are in really nice condition. Labels are minty and shiny, no scuffing or wear...they look like they've never been touched. The boxes do have some shelf wear. The best box is the Bases Loaded one...looks new!

Not fan of sports at all but for that price...with boxes and manuals?! Hell to the yes...just means I have less CIB stuff to buy lol. Maybe this is a sign to keep at it...I've been trying to hunt but my budget and the lack of any damn finds have been getting me down. Also could be a sign to keep cataloging my games...I got off track and started cataloging my DVDs of all things...now that those are done I should go back to my games...I've only gotten up to DC/PS1/PS2/Xbox/360 so far...all my retro stuff needs to be cataloged as well as my handhelds and Wii games. Bah.

It was a sign to keep at it...oh god was it a sign. Now this isn't by far the best haul I've ever had but...damn it's a nice haul.

Estate sale:

GEN World Heroes - $2 (label is ripped and worn)
GEN Menacer - $2
GEN Lion King - $2 (CIB)
N64 Quest 64 - $2 (took a risk on it, label is horrible, pins are...some of the worst pins I've ever seen, little hope it works)
Wii Scarface - $1 (no manual)
360 Minecraft - $1 (no manual)
PS2 Monster Rancher 4 - $1 (CIB)

Dat Monster Rancher 4...hell yeah. Planning to resell the Minecraft. The Quest 64...I MIGHT be able to fix it...I bought it thinking I might be able to save it but...it's really horrible.

Yard sale:

$15 for all the games

360 Minecraft - (sealed)
360 Fallout New Vegas ultimate Edition - (sealed)
360 Triple Pack Limbo/Splosion Man/Trials - (CIB)

Megaman battle network? figure with sword - $0.10 (he's worn and one of his boots is broken off but with some glue...)

Guy brought out a huge tub of Xbox/360 games after I asked him for ANYTHING video game related...but nearly all of them were missing the discs because his son still uses them. He had several sealed games but most were trash shovelware other then the two I got. I spotted Limbo and I asked him if he'd be willing to sell the game to me since it was missing the disc...he said yes and went and got it. I really wanted to play Limbo so yay. And I've been needing a copy of FNV to replace mine and been wanting Minecraft too...and that's the reason I'm selling the other Minecraft.

Yard sale #2:

$20 for everything

N64 Golden Eye
N64 Star Fox 64
N64 Star Wars Rogue Squadron
360 Dragon Age II - (CIB)
360 Saints Row 2 - (CIB with map)

N64 games are great, they look amazing. Guy said he had the console and controllers but was keeping them because he was keeping Mario Kart and Dr. Mario. Oh well...was hoping he might have had a Funtastic color to sell. I'm 90% sure I own all of the N64 games so those will just be resold, or I'll use them to upgrade my own games and sell off the old ones. Depends on condition. Never played Dragon Age games so I thought I'd grab it.

Yard sale #3:

$10 for all

GB Tiny Toon Babs Big Break
GB Pokemon Yellow - (top of the label is sun faded, must have sat in the GBC in the sun too long)
GEN Crack Down - (CIB)
GEN Paperboy - (in a Jurassic Park case of all things)

Yellow GBC - (needs some cleaning and testing but looks fine..even has the battery flap, it is missing the smallest sticker on the back though)

Pawn shop:

NES Kung Fu Heroes - $7
NES Donkey Kong Jr - $20

I overpaid for both of them...I don't normally pay that much for a single NES game at those places but he wasn't lowering the price at all...and I just really wanted it so...meh.

Just a great day today. I think the best thing for me was Monster Rancher 4 and those N64 games. I think it's fate I found 3 not that long ago and then 4 today lol. I just can't believe that I found stuff like I did...untouched by resellers! The last yard sale with the GBC was found at like 1 pm this afternoon...that's damn late. Maybe all the resellers got sick or something lol. Score

Since today was my cake day...25th...oh I feel old lol. I went out and had some fun. Instead of focusing on Seattle, I switched it up and headed down to Tacoma...since we never go there. I hit up a HPBs and found some stuff. I also went to Dorky's Arcade...sweet place...bit loud though, hurt my ears after only a few minutes there...must bring earplugs next time!

HPB:

NES Ninja Kid - $5
Xbox Steel Battalion: Line of Contact - $5 (CIB)
Xbox Unreal Championship 2: The Liandri Conflict - $4 (CIB)
Xbox Blood Wake - $3 (CIB)
Xbox NFL Fever 2002 - $2 (CIB)

I also had a 15% off coupon because it was my cake day...

I'm happy I found Steel Battalion that cheap...not the original one but still cheaper then eBay. And Ninja Kid as well. Now I'm not a sports fan...but I am trying to get the Xbox exclusives down and it was on clearance...so why not...same with Blood Wake. I also grabbed Top Spin but the disc had been stolen.

That HPBs had a TON of older games...way more then the one I usually go too...also saw Earthbound there...for $200! lol...it's been there for a few months...and it'll keep staying there till they recheck their prices. Oh well...found some games...had some fun at an arcade and I have doughnuts...I'd say it went better then last year.

Weird weather in Washington has led to some people chickening out and not hosting yard sales...so I haven't been finding much.

Yard sale:

N64 Namco Museum - $1
N64 Bassmasters 2000 - $1

I guess I got there late because when asked if they had any more games they said "That's all that's left"...meh.

Got Namco to upgrade my old copy and got the Bassmasters because it was a buck and I don't buy sports games unless they're cheap.

Today was my mom's birthday. We took her to a park (and the heavens opened up on us soaking us...whoops) and made a little stop at a Goodwill we never get to because it's pretty far out there...but we were nearby and my game hunting senses were...tingling.

Goodwill:

PS2 Monster Hunter - $2.50 (CIB)

It was going to be $6 but the lady checking us out rang it up as a DVD and gave me a deal since I had a stack of 4 DVDs and one game. So it was 4 for $10 and $4 for my other DVD.

After GW we had to go to the store so we hit Walmart...and as I was checking out I spotted a World of Nintendo figure...of Cat Mario! So cute...wish I had found one of the 8-bit ones but oh well.

Thanks. I know nothing about it but the label looked cool, plus the price was right compaired to all the others.

Well $2.50 lol. I didn't know it was about a $20 game until I looked it up while we were headed home. :3

I forgot to post these games...whoops.

We were out in Enumclaw of all places (and the area around it) for Father's Day because they were having a car show...and we wanted to visit a few of the state parks over there. Anyways on the way back from getting rained out of the parks, I spotted a Goodwill and well I can't let a Goodwill I've never gone to be passed up. But not much there...even if all media was 50% off...

Goodwill:

PS2 Dance Factory - $2 (CIB)
Xbox NHL Rivals 2004 - $2 (CIB)

I would have completely skipped these but 50% off and both are console exclusives so...meh!

Now I don't remember when I got this but...

Thrift store:

Xbox Dance Dance Revolution Ultramix - $1 (no manual)

I found it in a bag with some books I bought...can't remember getting it...but again got it because it was an exclusive.

I've played Dance Factory, the game's idea of using your own music is cool and all but the auto generated steps and difficulty are lacking.

Was out near HPB so I thought I'd use an old gift card to get some stuff...but this was a bad day...they didn't have anything good!

HPB:

Xbox Quantum Redshift - $4 (CIB)
Xbox Amped 2 - $3 (CIB)

Blah blah, exclusives...blah. At least I'm shortening the amount of Xbox games I need to pick up...

Well the last few times of blah finds have been well made up for today...

Yard sale #1:

GB Pokemon Red - $2 (Label is pretty torn up, the cart also feels loose?)
GC Pokemon Channel - $1 (No manual, cover art is water damaged)
GC Wavebird with wireless thingy - $2.50 (Needs a deep cleaning STAT...)

Yard sale #2:

All three for $10

Xbox Syberia II - (CIB)
Xbox Conker Live & Reloaded - (CIB)
Xbox Stubbs The Zombie - (CIB)

Finally manage to find the two exclusive Xbox games I've been having a hell of a time tracking down...at the same sale! They had a tub full of games all in near mint condition...but those three were the only ones I didn't own...otherwise I think I would have bought a few more.

Untapped yard sales...finally! First sale I was surprised to see Pokemon games just sitting out in the open like that...that is a rare sight these days what with all the resellers around me. I did leave another wavebird...it was missing it's back and the main joystick pad was worn off. I figured it wasn't worth it.

Been awhile since I found anything...just not finding stuff and not going out as well. Today I had the "itch" so I thought since I was in the area anyways to stop at a thrift store that happens to get in old video games from time to time (found some cool stuff before...love that thrift store). And what do you know...I found something!

Thrift store:

GB Game & Watch Gallery 2 - $3
Xbox Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic - $4 (CIB)

They also had a NES game but thanks to my cataloging using my phone...I was able to tell I already owned it...I can see this thing saving me money in the future haha. So not anything major but still...didn't own the games and needed them for the collection.

Today started out bad...didn't find a lot of sales and it was overcast out, making sure to keep people inside (even though we live in the Evergreen forest...rain isn't going to burn you!)...to the point where we went to a sale that was posted...and no sign of it being there so it was a fake or people chickened out. I was feeling let down and thought I should have stayed in bed today so I talked my parents in at stopping at a pawn shop...they didn't have anything great so I was really feeling down and then we stopped at a "Estate sale" aka reseller alert. They had games but...not in great shape and he wasn't going down on the price because they were his "sons" and he wasn't there. Right sure.

Church sale:

Wii stand/tower/game holder thingy? - $5

Yard sale:

This was all $2

Impa doll from OoT
DS Pokemon Ranger - Loose
DS Tetris - Loose
Magnetic Mario and Luigi DS case? It holds up to 4 DS games and a stylus

Thrift store:

PS2 Kessen - $2.50 (CIB)

Pawn shop:

PSP Untold Legends The Warrior's Code - $1 (CIB)
Xbox Project Gotham Racing - $1 (CIB)

"Estate sale":

N64 Turok 2 - $3 (Rental stickers all over it)
Xbox Forza Motorsport - $3 (CIB)

So eh day. Mainly just getting stuff that I needed to fill the collection. Two Xbox exclusive racing games off the list, a PS2 exclusive, and a sequel to a really good action RPG on the PSP...and then the little tidbits. It is nice finding N64 games in the wild still. The DS case thing is cute and the Impa figure is neat. I didn't even notice that was who the figure was...I just thought she was a cool looking elf chick. The Wii tower is weird...I have a Wii storage tower already but this one is styled differently. And neither were made for collectors in mind lol...I think at most they can fit like 10 games haha...I have 78 games -.-

Today was...interesting. I had printed out several sales to do but...plans changed and we ended up going near Seattle to pick up a heater of all things...spent all morning doing that so I thought yard sale chances were ruined...yes and no. Yes because everything was picked over and it was getting late...and no because...free stuff?

Yard sale:

Everything was free

Xbox Riddick Butcher Bay - CIB
Xbox Rainbow Six Lockdown - CIB
Xbox Medal of Honor European Assault - Missing manual
Xbox Rainbow Six Critical Hour - CIB
Xbox Urban Chaos - Missing cover art and manual
Xbox Commandos Strike Force - CIB
360 Call of Duty MW3 - CIB
360 Rainbow Six Vegas 2 - CIB
360 Call of Duty 3 - CIB (With bonus disc, Platinum Hits version)

So yeah...weird story with this. We stopped at a yard sale, dad got out and looked around and asked for video games (I was trapped in the van because of the damned heater). Someone said no so he got back in the van. Ask we are about to drive away, guy comes up and asks what kind of video games we're after...so I speak up and say any old or new. He says shooters and I think...Halo crap...but I say yeah shooters, RPGs...so he says he has some shooters. I get out and he leads me into his house and into his room. Shows me the 360 games and then asks have I ever played any of these games...I say no (because I'm not into those types of shooters...) so he sits down and takes me through Vegas 2...or 1 I can't remember. I stand there for a few minutes and then he just sort of gives me the 360 games...I thank him and we start heading out the door...then I mention something about old games and he says I have an Xbox and some games. So I think, thank god some games I might like! Yeah...more shooters but...free. Nice of him to do that...just wish I liked shooters more. I might try Vegas 2...looked interesting.

I am glad about Riddick though...another exclusive that was on my list. And I guess Critical Six is exclusive too. Getting through these Xbox exclusives at the very least.

Sunday is usually a no sale day because so many sales are picked over at this point and almost no one has Sunday sales. But today...of all places a church had a sale...weird right? I would have scored...but...even though I STRESSED I wanted the empty boxes, the checkout lady didn't give them to me (even though she said ok when I asked for them). Found out later once we were home that the boxes were missing...god damn it. We also stopped at the yard sale that was supposed to have been going Saturday...I found some games there. Slim pickings today though...

Yard sale:

PS2 Balder's Gate Dark Alliance - $2 (CIB, cover art has water damage)
PS3 Silent Hill Homecoming - $2 (CIB)

Church sale:

Unknown prices since the lady added it to my parents pile.

Handy Pak for Gameboy - Box is beat up but still together, no major rips, no paper work and missing the control stick add on thing.
The Lion King manual for Gameboy - Beat up, the cover artwork is separated from the main manual.
The Legend of Zelda Link's Awakening manual for Gameboy - Worn and folded
Kirby's Pinball Land manual for Gameboy - Slight fold in it
Intellivision Black Belt Battle cart...thing?
CD lens cleaner disc for Gamecube from Gamestop

Odd assortment of items at that church sale. If that lady hadn't "forgotten" that empty stuff I would have had an empty box for a black DSlite, Final Fantasy III DS case with manual, LoZ Phantom Hourglass DS case with manual and another DS case with the manual that I forget the name of. Ticks me off...because she was throwing away the empty 360 cases I pointed out to her so she no doubt threw them away I bet...what a waste.

Best stuff was the manuals and Handy Pak just for the weirdness of it.

Today was a good day, found a lot of nice stuff. I thought for sure I was going to not get anything this weekend (Friday was a bust and parents didn't want to go to the sales that I wanted to go to...), but I scored...

Wasn't planning to go out this weekend (parents didn't want to spend any money), but we had to go drop a heater off at our other house. So of course we passed yard sale signs and dad couldn't ignore them lol.

Yard sale #1:

All for $4

GBA Pokemon FireRed - Label is peeling up in one corner (it looks real though! I'll have to open it to make sure)
DS Kirby Mass Attack
DS Pokemon Diamond

Yard sale #2:

All for $5

Mario plush doll? From 1989 NOA Applause made in Philippines, no hat or clothes though.
3x Mario figures. Two are the spring Mario in the Tanooki suit. And one is Mario running with a fireball coming from his hand. Pretty filthy so I'm not able to look closer for a year.

Not much but ok stuff at any rate. I'm always happy to find a Pokemon GBA game that's actually flipping real...god damn I find to many fakes.
