So I had a VRC4a board laying around that I decided to make into a Kid Dracula. After comparing the pins to the mask rom I ended up with this

PRG
Lift pins 1,2,24,30,31 and 32
pin 2 to hole 22
pin 24 to ground
pin 32 to hole 28
1, 30 and 31 floating

CHR (exactly the same as PRG)
Lift pins 1,2,24,30,31 and 32
pin 2 to hole 22
pin 32 to hole 28
pin 24 to ground
1, 30 and 31 floating

The game should normally take a=two 27c010 but I only had one of those so I used a 27c040 for the PRG and a 27c010 for the CHR. I used Lincoln's execellent tool Famirom to split the nes file and expand the PRG.

After I did that I lifted leg 3 and 4 on the VRC chip and wired them to the corresponding legs for A2 and A3 on the eprom. If you want to make a different game you can figure out what pins go where by comparing to the info here: http://wiki.nesdev.com/w/index.ph...

ps yes this started as a help thread till I realized I burned the wrong damn PRG, it was unexpanded. Figured this info may be useful to others so I changed it to a tutorial.
