I never had Bionic Commando as a kid, but I always hear people ranting about how good it is. Out of curiousity, I picked it up and I'm very impressed. I gave up for a few days at first because the learning curve for the arm is pretty steep. I think my main problem is that I'm used to doing running jumps (mario style), which can't be done with fluid button motion with the arm (i.e. you can't use the arm at an angle while running [holding forward on the d-pad], as you would just shoot the arm in front of you). After I adapted to playing with the arm and not being able to jump, I can confidently say that Bionic Commando is one of the best NES games I have ever played. I had to cheat a bit (game genie for continues) so that I didn't have to constantly start from the beginning, but damn, that game is pretty challenging. Definitely a unique approach to the run and gun platformer. What's the general consensus here on BC? Love it? Hate it?

I have always enjoyed it. Pretty tough game.

Man continues are a peice of cake to get, just kill the "bigger" enemies in the top down battles, when you run into enemies on the world map. You get a continue for each eagle icon you pick up. Glad you are enjoying the game, one of my all time favorites!

Am I the only one who didn't care much for bionic commando??

One of my all-time favorites. And you gotta love the ending

I love this game as well very fun to play Im actually in the process of finding the arcade version of this.

I love the Money Pit.
