NHL Playoffs thread 2013

Welp, saw the NBA one, but I prefer Hockey where the battles are usually closer, NHL playoffs are the best playoffs period.

My Hawks have the Presidents trophy in the bag, but the Stanley Cup is up for grabs.  In the NHL, an 8 seed can win it all (unlikely to happen in the NBA). 

Would be nice to win it again this year, but what I'm looking forward to is another Canucks - Hawsk matchup.   Hope it happens.

Eh once Crosby comes back, I don't see anyone in the East stopping Pittsburgh. Hawks and Pens would be a great matchup in the finals.

Pens vs. Hawks for the cup. Pens in 6 as much as I hate to say it. If NJ made it Pit would be gone first round!

Canucks won't make it past the first round, not anywhere near the depth needed to win it all and much too inconsistent. They needed a big goal scorer at the deadline, not a small pass-first type of guy. Usually my fav playoff moment is watching them lose.

I'm pulling for something like a Kings/Hawks or Blues/Hawks west final, I think 1 of those 3 will come out of the west. The Blues might be this years sleeper team, they are hot right now and a well coached team that plays hard with a lot of grit.

In the east, it's too hard to bet against the Pens, too much depth, and if everyone is healthy they can't lose, but that isn't an easy task.

I'll do a more detailed prediction when the match ups are finalized.

They are pretty legendary.    I will gladly admit you guys are my favorite foes...........  the games are always so intense

Love the NHL Playoffs, I try to watch as many games as I can get! Big Rangers fan, since I don't think they'll be winning the cup, it would be fun to see a Canadian team win.

If the rangers play the bruins first round it's gonna be a blood bath and I think the rangers could ultimately upset the B's

Hawks won't be over confident with Toews as their leader. His play will drive the team to work hard, best captain in the league.

Canucks definitely haven't been too consistent this year, but I have a feeling they've just been waiting for the playoffs to wake up. The goalies have been phenomenal, so I'm hoping we can steal a series or two.

I have a feeling the Pens and Hawks will both choke. They both peaked way too soon.
