I've been using the beta site a lot lately. In fact many forum posts where I linked to other threads I posted the beta versions because that's what I was using. Are these all broken now or will they redirect to the standard Nintendoage site?

example:
http://beta.nintendoage.com/forum...

Vintage still works. What gives?

If it's not working, then the evil overlord/ webmaster is working on something. It'll be back soon.

If you use anything other than either www.nintendoage.com... or mobile.nintendoage.com, you're doing so at your own peril if they disappear or are modified.

Vintage doesn't receive current support, and Beta is well, beta.

Just may not be in an official capacity.

So all those links to threads I posted all over the internet are just dead now? Lately I haven't noticed much difference between the beta and standard sites. But it felt cool to be on the bleeding edge.

IDK why vintage is still so popular. Features like scoreboard, subscriber icons, embedded videos don't work, but I still get tons of subscription emails with vintage links in them.

Yep, until/if beta comes back.

Just trim the "beta" off of future links.

Got any of these for sale? Sell them to me. I also buy other NES Publisher inserts, and even GB/GBC, and SNES inserts too.

Campout.nintendoage.com still works.

Shows lots of pictures from the 4 campouts + as a bonus pics from the 2008 NA Expo, the event that lead me to host the campouts.

I miss the campout, but well all good things come to an end.

Beta was never designed to be used by anyone other than beta testers or me. Just use the regular site or vintage -- right now, they're feeding off the same database, but that's changing right now, which is why I took it offline to the public.

We're in the process of another site/server migration and database replication, and beta will be the test to make sure that migration works correctly.

Interesting. Initially I started using the "beta" site because it was more user friendly than the older "mobile" site and had much better compatability with my 3DS than the standard site. It seems now most of the features originally added to the "beta" site have been merged with the standard no prefix nintendoage. Recently I haven't noticed much difference but my browser bookmarks still linked to "beta".

Seems many folks (based upon email subscription links) are still using the "vintage" site but IDK what if any advantages it has over standard. No scoreboard, subscriber icons, or embedded video links...

Lesson learned; from now on I will only post non-prefix links beginning with "nintendoage.com/..."

Nope. I think I discovered the "Beta" site after someone replied to a subscribed thread using it. The links point to whatever version of the site the user was using atm. It was also specificall recommended to me by another user at one point after I mentioned having trouble browsing the "normal" site with a 3DS.

Makes sense, I totally understand why you would use something you weren't welcome to, to begin with.

The url was publicly available to everyone so I don't see how my usage of it was breaking some unspoken rule. If I did, I appologize.

Doing a generic Google search for NintendoAge related topics can sometimes come up with dozens of mirror urls. One time I logged in by accident at an alt site and immediately changed my password as a precaution.

That's easy Joseph

Find a large piece of land, invite people, and partay!

Other than that, unless you find someone else willing to host it, the campout is dead.

It will not come back, it was fun while it lasted but the site has grown too large to open up my house and yard to everyone.

Nice. Doesn't seem to have updated in a whole year though. How many developers get their own blog space at Nintendoage?
