Welcome everyone. Alrite, so I have a buddy creating an account to join, so we should be at 16. So either we can hold off starting and try to get more players to join or I can scale down the game to work with less players (which would mean cutting some roles.) What do yall think?

I would say we wait to get more players. That way people are getting the full experience. But I'm also ok with just starting if that's what everyone else wants.

I'll give it a go, even though I'll have to re-read the rules again (I've read them twice and still don't totally get it...). Is there an ELI5 version somewhere?

Another player joined, nice! I say wait, no need to rush.

There are two teams: town and wolves. Town is bigger but do not know each other, while wolf team is smaller and knows each other and can meet in private.

There are two cycles, day and night. During the day everyone votes for a player to be lynched who will be removed from the game.

During the night, wolves select a player to be eaten who will be removed from the game. Some town members may have special powers that may also be used at this time.

These two cycles repeat until one team is eliminated from the game, you follow?

Yeah, once you get in the midst of the game, you'll pick it up quickly. Only tip I can give you is if you have an ability and have any questions about it, PM Fox, and keep quiet on that in the main thread Day 1 is always a cluster fuck because we're all taking wild stabs in the dark and trying to come up with a common agreement on how to weed out wolves/inactive players.
