That's pretty damn funny... I never heard of that auction site before now. I looked at the bidders and I see ME and NISTLE taking a chance on it. If you look every single bidder is from someone brand new to that site. Wonder if people are randomly searching the net for 1990 Nintendo World Championships for sale or something. Good thing the poor guy didn't just do BIN on eBay for the $24 or $1 per game start price he thought was fair. With all our luck DUstin would have won a GOLD NWC for $24 plus $10 shipping. LOL!

Yeah I added the thing to my favorites list and then registered for it so I could make a bid on it. What sucks ass on that site though is not only does this still have 16+ days left but read the fine print on how the auctions end time works. To combat sniping the auction has an end time but it's kinda like win by 2 rule we all used when playing hoops as kids... it's end time or after there have been no bids in 5 minutes... so might as well go ahead and bid now anyways cause no sniping on this puppy!! Will just keep going and going and going until someone finally outmonies everyone else on it.

I emailed the seller when this was first posted on AA telling him the cart was worth at least five grand.. I think if the auction is legit it would be a shame for someone to try and get the cart for next to nothing...And actually If his son was a solider I wonder if he was a member of one of the video gaming sites. Its nice to get a good deal but Im sure the son knew what he had and would want his family to have the proceeds from it.

Old aunts used to come up to me at weddings, poking me in the ribs and cackling, telling me, "You're next." They stopped after I started doing the same thing to them at funerals.

Judging by the other games i'm not so sure that the guy knew it was really valuable. It might be that he won it when he was a kid and just kept it for the nostalgic feeling. Theres alot of people who have like Rodland and Mr. Gimmick complete, but have no idea that its worth much.

From what I can tell, no-one has managed to get him to verify it. I HIGHLY doubt the cart is legit.

Wow, it's up to close to $5K. I'd fly my ass out there if I were serious and verify in person.

WTB Cdn sealed black boxes, sealed Cdn first party titles.    I.e. the "mattel" Cdn boxes with both french and english.   Mainly black boxes, zelda, link, and tyson, but let me know what you have.    I am interested in anything I don't already have!

Really? You're not just saying that are you? I ask because I have a bet with someone, and if I win, he's going to be buying me one. I have a funny feeling I'm going to win the bet, and so I'm keeping my eyes open for someone who's a willing seller.

If I lose, I have to give up my Lego Toys

I have a massive (I mean massive) amount of Lego Toys from when I was younger and if I lose, they're his.

If I were to count each piece, it would be my Lego collection, but as far as sure bulk, definitely my NES collection.

I can't really give out the details (yet), but I'll just say that it has to do with my brother, his band, and Warner Brothers

Actually, they already signed his band, so it's more about how well they do. I bet him that they'd eventually go platinum, and if I'm right, I'd get an NWC 1990 gold cart. If I'm wrong, I give up the Lego's Sounded fair to me!
