Oh snap Bert, we're tied. This calls for a tie breaker!

Right!  What shall we do for a tie breaker?

Walk-Off Challenge?

Is that a Golf thing?  Not too bad at NES Golf, but I'm no golfer.

Zoolander reference. But yeah, I suck at golf. But NES Golf? Not too shabby.

Haha.  Not a fan of Zoolander.  I almost hit 21,000 steps on Saturday, and typically get 15,000 to 20,000 every day.  If that's the walk-off challenge, you better bring your A game!

That's a good question. I think we'll have to go with tied players get the same rank and split the points between them.

Examples : 2 players tied for 1st : they get points for first and second rank : 21 \ 2 = 10.5, we round it at 11 points each.

3 players tied for first : they get 1st, 2nd and 3rd place points : 30 \ 3 = 10 points each.

4 players are tied for 6th place : they get points for 6th, 7th, 8th and exceptionally another 8th place : 19 / 4 = 4.75, we round it at 5 points each.

That's a good and funny idea, but the problem is that you can't select a hole on its own, they would always need to get to the hole in question (the 3rd hole for example) to make their try. That, and it's not that easy to actually do an ace.

That and it's extremely hard to hit a hole in one, and on some holes it's impossible to do without risky oob or bunker.

I just see a photo bucket link and +6 above it which I didn't type so I assumed an admin helped me out. The link works for me.

NM I was behind, thanks for the help.

I'll be curious to know if anyone can manage to get an Eagle. You can't drive the green on any of the par 4's and I doubt you could make it in 2 on the few par 5's. You'd have to get a chip-in.

I did an unrecorded trial run last night and got +19. I'm probably not going to spend that much more time on it, but if I can keep from hitting the ball in the water or out of bounds then I should be able to get close to par.

I missed one from about 1/3 of the green away.  It was definitely a par 5 where I got on the green in 2.  Presumably I had a perfect drive with the 1 wood, and perhaps the aid of wind too.

Finally, a game I've played and used to be decent at. We'll see how this week goes. Bummed I didn't have time to do the QBert challenge. That's going to hurt later on.

-------------------------

My best friend's sister's boyfriend's brother's girlfriend heard from this guy who knows this kid who's going with the girl who saw Ferris pass out at the Let's Play Gaming Expo last night. I guess it's pretty serious.

Oh, my WTB thread is very popular. The sportos, the motorheads, geeks, sluts, bloods, wastoids, dweebies, Richard craniums - they all adore it. They think it's a righteous thread.
I'd also like to add that I've got my father's gun and a *scorching* price guide for aftermarket Nintendo games.
Between Dragon Warriors and nothing... I'll take Dragon Warriors - for any of my FT/FS/FO items.

Maybe I missed this, but is there a tiebreaker figured out?

Also, here's my last piece of advice (not that anyone asked for it).  In this pic you can see the aid I've been using behind my namecard.  As far as I can tell your character is never actually aiming at the hole because the game can only face him in 22.5 degree arcs.  So using a straight edge (like this piece of paper) you can see where you are actually pointing, and then use the hooks and slices to try and spin the ball in the direction you actually want to go.  You can also see my markings for club + distance

You can definitely get on green in two on some par 5, and when the wind is favorable you can do it on all of them.

Okay so I guess it's not too out of reach between getting on in 2 and the chance of chipping it in. If anyone gets any Eagles post about it!

Good Nostradumbass predictions this week, I'm glad to see my names included again. I already have shot +12 and my goal is +5 so you're probably not far off Brock.

I doubt that I'll even get participation this time. I played two or three holes and I was done.

SuperJimtendo is gonna overtake me on the leaderboard, but I hope to make up for it with Gyruss.

+5 after the first 6... then it all went to crap. The out of bounds s very iffy. Sometimes it seems the balls bounces out but it says out of bounds. Still a fun game. I should at least make participation.

I have hit a few of them but not usually on the 3rd hole, usually on the second par 3 with all the water on 3 sides of the green, and when i did get it it was usually with the perfect wind conditions or a well placed hook / slice.

plus it would be almost impossible to snap a picture that quick.
