Wanted to see if anyone has any info on these carts? I know they are obscure. There is another collector that may be able to chime in that also has the set. Maybe Limbofunk can shed some light as well? No deferent answer has been given as to what they do or where they originated from. Everything I read suggest in house Nintendo and were used for testing system functions on the DS. Then were meant to be destroyed much like the lot of carts that popped up on the bay about 2 years ago.

What do they do when played in the ds? Are they yours?

They are mine but are in transit. It was something to me that was unknown and never seen before so I jumped on it.

These are on their way so they are not in hand yet. The trade show cart just said Nintendo in the middle and had a white plastic insert inside. I'm not 100% sure they only had one style. I'm really interfered to see what it is.

Anyone else have more info?

Here's what the blanks looked like. It's a complete mold with no board inside.

Definitely a cool find. ASSEMbler's suggestion that they were most likely used to calibrate assembly, packing and labeling machines seems reasonable. Especially since the codes are ABCD and EFGH. That screams filler to me. Even carts never meant for public release have real codes.
