updated my score in gradius. Beat it twice and died on level 3. Gradius is my favorite nes shoot em up. There are so many secrets and strategies. There are 3 hidden warps, hidden 1ups, hidden 5000 pts, a rapid fire unlock, and 10000 pts bonus. Once you beat the game, it becomes a lot harder with more bullets and faster enemies/bullets. It requires a lot more concentration on maintaining your shield.

Updated my Zombie Nation score. Got a bunch of shots in on the final boss and died. If i defeated him, there would be no way to see your score.

It's annoying that games do that. They don't even bother to display the final score. Abadox does that too. It's like the scoring is a complete afterthought.

Yeah but its not a big deal. High scores are just a left over from the arcade era when there wasnt an 'end' to the games. Now that they can get an ending, the ending is the most important and score is just for fun. I miss points in games, even if I think they're meaningless.

I'm going to see if I can find a way to play the games you've been playing and put up some scores myself!

I want to keep playing Abadox until I can 1CC it, and following that I might put up a score for Jamestown on the PS4, since I love the game so darn much, it's about time I revisit it.

If I ever get one! Haha no, this thread is for all shmups across all systems, as well as general discussion. If all I cared about was being at the top of scoreboards, I'd be putting up a score for every game on here making sure to be #1. That's not my bag, baby.
