Wow if anything would get someone a hard-on for this hobby to get started (or started back into it) that set of images up there would do it.

I wish I would've kept more of that haul, but was nervous at the time for dropping the kind of cash I did drop, and instantly sold the non-black box big boys to cover it all.  Here's a few more fun pics for your NES-lovin' enjoyment!:

I know someone on here ended up with my, ahem, Chubby - though I was not a member of NA at the time.

I SHOULD HAVE KEPT ALL OF THIS STUFF!!!!  The condition was just plain insane.  Many were razor blade-opened at the top, and all of the games/manuals were stored in hard plastic cases.  It was the stuff of legend.

Yeah, I wish, cart only. Then again if it were CIB, the I and B would go up for sale (at least the B) as I don't collect those.

Factory sealed finds at a yard sale? How does that make sense?

He advertised on craigslist yesterday and I went there first things this morning (it was kinda rough, had a good date that went until 2:00am and got up at 6:30am after waking up each day this week at like 5:30... taking a nap after I log out of this site, lol) and it was a dude that actually has a website and was sort of clearing out extras, etc.  The Ice Hockey isn't perfect, and was $20.  The Othello is a little better, and was only $5.  I got 3 copies of Mario 3 & each gold Zelda & each was cleaned/sleeved/has manual for $5 each.  (To help me sell extra systems that I have.)

Then I go two doors down from his house (I lucked out in the fact that it was a neighborhood yard sale) and got an NES with $17 games for only $20!!  Then, most of the other shit was only like $2 a piece - it was a good day!  The $5 games were the worst deal.  $20 for Ice Hockey sealed is pretty good.  If I wasn't all freaky about black box games and consider it an "extended" black box game, I would've probably passed on it though.  And I figured for Othello, even as a game I don't care for, how do you pass up a sealed game for $5??

He had some sealed Atari games too but I could give a shit less.  $15 for E.T.??  That's landfill shit, haha.

I scored a ROB with all Gyromite parts (minus one hand, unfortunately) yesterday for $20. Pretty good in my book!

Wow you did well. I really need to find a community garage sale around here, but they seem taboo to the California area I'm in. In Kentucky all the various neighborhoods in the area (pretending like they were legit little towns) would do them usually twice a year and you could score all sorts of crazy stuff as people just bring out more when there's a line of cars and houses going at it to bait more over. Out here gas is like 4.20/gal and I'm not going to go house to house 1-10mi apart from each you can forget it.

Oh, you mean they're taboo because the houses aren't close?

I seriously think that over the last 10 years, 50% of the vintage systems I've sold have gone to California. I'm always pissed cuz shipping is truly more expensive but the phenomenon is pretty fascinating... I've always said, "don't they have yard sales out there??" - now I know!

Not taboo, it's just gas is too expensive to be pissing around for hours between far apart houses on a guess because if I did find something any kind of deal would be gone in gas.

yeah, ha ha hard or expensive stuff now, or both it'd be better to sell off the rare carts to buy them back CIB but i know my carts are in nicer condition, and would hate to get a downgraded cart to gete box and manuals

Here's a cool deal!!

  I traded this:

For these:

Not too shabby!!  Supposedly one SNES doesn't work but I have one that needs a new shell so I could care less.  House of the Dead is the real gem here.

Anyway, kiddos: keep an eye out for Tyco RC cars from the 80's/90's.  I only paid one dollar for that bitch.
