IMO the right team won, but all the players showed a complete lack of respect for the game and the ref.  De Jong should have been sent off in the first half for the boot in Alonso's chest.  It was not the final most of us were expecting, but congratulations to Spain.

this was offside.. doesnt matter if he got the ball or not.. they flagged for the same thing for the netherlands many times....... and that is not fair.. flag for all.. or none... (ofcourse in this position , not when its 100% offside )

there was def no respect , but then again i dont think the ref deserves any.. he gave cards for minor stuff..
yes de jong should have been sent off, but Heitinga ? the one who got a red card, he didnt do anything to get a second yellow card..

BUT the idiot ref didn't give us a corner.. instead giving a goal kick from which the goal originated

Webb was very 1 sided, Iniesta should have gotten a red card for kicking Van Bommel (1st half) and Webb was very hard on the Dutch with yellow cards.

i totally agree with this. Iniesta was lucky he didn't get sent off for kicking van bommel. But the kick by De Jong was even worst. All in all it was a very difficult game for webb but IMO he pretty much handle it very well. The game was so intense, robben got 2 one on one chance with the keeper, and spain too got very close to score a goal in a couple of occasions. I must say i am pretty much satisfied and it was a very exciting finale. 

As soon as the defender broke up the play it made Iniesta's offside position moot.

Then when the ball came back he was onside, it was absolutely the right call. I wanted Holland to win, but the goal was solid.

It was especially confusing when they played Denmark. I have a tendancy to get the names mixed up and call the Danes, the Dutch.

I actually looked up the Holland thing, turns out technically Holland refers to a specific region in the Netherlands, but over the years it became a term for all of Netherlands in general usage.
