Okay everyone, first off, here are the results:

And here are the prizes, starting off with the Tier 1 grand prize and followed up by the rest of the prizes:

So, here's is what everyone has won:

Tier 1

1st: Richardhead - Hackvision programmable tool
2nd: Brock Landers - Thexder
3rd: Krunch - Stinger

Tier 2

1st: Bea_Iank - Castlevania 3

Random Prize Drawing prize: Archer MacLean's 3D Pool (CIB)

All games have been tested and work and may have some cosmetic issues.  I have not been able to test the Hackvision because I am not good at promgarmming whatsoever.  But, I have been told it works by the donator of the prize.  I will hold the random prize drawing in a little bit and announce the winner then.  I will be sending all prize winners PMs for their mailing addresses.  Congratualtions to all the prize winners and let's give everyone who played in the tournament a big round of applause for another successful and fun competition, not to mention a great year of contests!  I hope to see all of you back, plus new faces, in 2017!  Let's make 2017 even better than 2016!

Okay, time for our Elimination Prize drawing. Here's how it will work: Everyone who was eliminated from the 2016 tournament, including the 4th place finishers in each tier in the finals, will be assigned a random number. I will use a random number generator to determine the winner of the prize. The prize again is a CIB copy of Archer MacLean's 3D Pool for the Gameboy Advance (see above post for the pic). Here's everyone's number:

1 – Seppatoni
2 – skinnygrinny
3 – laddersandcakes
4 – SuperJimtendo
5 – zobber
6 – JamesRobot
7 – ToxieRules
8 – Ferris Bueller
9 – Mega Tank
10 – mbd39
11 – smick
12 – Jandrem
13 – TWarwick07
14 – bertsampson

I will announce the winning number in a little bit. Good luck to everyone!

Bimmy, I had forfeited any physical prize because bloody Brazil customs.
Please do another prize drawing with it among those who made to the tournament.

Also, here's the video of my score:

I am pretty sure the amount of deaths I had to achieve that score is actually higher than the score itself.

Also, thank you all for taking part of this tournament. Fun was had through the year.
Thanks Bimmy and Guil for hosting it.
And congratulations for everyone who made it this far and the tier champions. You're the best.

Now onto 2017. I will likely just play an odd game here and there again, but we will see.
It could be possible that I end up a married, family woman and will have less time for videogames.

That was amazing. I can't believe that you no-deathed Adventure Island. Wow.

I noticed that you dodged the flame at the end of 8-3. You can actually bump into it to reveal the pot. I learned that from watching rdrunner's Adventure Island videos (maybe the only other person on this site who is better than you at this game).

4-3 also looks like a huge pain in the ass. The platforming in this game is tricky enough without adding ice physics.

I actually tried my best, but my best wasn't good enough. I'll try again next year and hope for tournament games that I can do.

I had way too many close calls on that run as well.
I tried to play safe with frogs rather than risk losing the entire run for a meagre extra 100 or 200 points. And that also caused me to miss quite a few pots and the world 7 bonus stage. And at World 8 I was in "avoid everything dangerous" mode, so I didn't risk tripping on that fire. XD
All in all, I must have left 50K or more points on the table.
And 4-3 platforming has nothing on 8-3. I did that section tons of times till I could get it right at least 90% of the time.
Then I finally recorded this run. Score could have been much higher, but eh, my focus was to beat the game and I managed to do that, so I am pleased.

I look forward to checking out your video Bea. That's quite the impressive feat to 1 life this game. If I had another 3 weeks, I'd like to think that I'd be able to do that but in all honesty I think I would smashed my cart before I got to that point!
