I don't listen to her but my wife loves her. I respect her talent and think she's a very driven woman but not my cup of tea in terms of music making it a tough rank. I feel she has a pretty positive influence and has accomplished more than most pop artists these days.

Her music sucks. As a singer, she's decent. Her lyrics aren't good, music isn't good, and I grew sick of the shock factor antics that she copied from others.

right around a 6, only because i like her more serious approach now.

For what she does she's talented but in my opinion pop music is just garbage. I'll give her a few extra points because she's good at what she does but I can't get past how bad pop music is.

She's really very talented. You can find video of her doing music other than pop and she just kills. She just decided she wanted to be commercially successful in the music business.

She and her producer decided to just make good dance songs, as that's the most surefire way to make a lot of money.

I agree.  I don't like all of her super pop stuff, but she is definitely talented.  

If you watch her live performance of "edge of glory" [not the up-beat dance version, but the slower one], it is pretty great IMO.

Yea, ive always liked the songs she puts out (having a teen daughter has pushed me into listening to stuff i normall wouldnt), but this video is just pure, raw, talent. I dont know of any other singer that has the talent she does. It doesnt matter the song, if she sings it shell put all of herself into it and it will be great.
