I still can't believe I missed out on 3 participation points on Golf........Over a technicality on my end of all things.

I actually liked last weeks game.

Stage progression doesn't matter this week unless you beat the game.  Looping of the game is forbidden, so if you beat it, take your picture when it loops back to stage 1.  This contest is all about getting a high score without point racking.

Looks like the rest of my week is going to be busier than expected, but I kept plugging away, got through Pluto unscathed, and actually made it to the Sun (he turns into an eye... and shoots a bunch of other eyes... and I was out of missiles... he killed me).

I would simply specify that by forbidden point racking, we mean cheap tactics like intentionally not killing the last spaceship to advance in the stage in order to continuously waiting for the extra enemies/bonus to spawn.

Good first attempt!  Made it all the way to the final boss and I was really close to finishing it off, but alas!

I left some points on the table here too.  I got 39/40 on FIVE of the Chance Stages and I only got a perfect 40/40 on the very first one.  It got to the point where every time I missed an enemy I knew it would be the only one I wouldn't kill.

Second attempt and game finished!  This was a higher scoring run than last time even subtracting the final boss kill and I'm not sure what I did exactly to bump my score up but I'll take it!

Just for fun I started up the second loop and it's quite the bump in difficulty.  Can't say I've ever tried it before.  The first boss wiped me out in a way I did not expect!

That usually happens to me in Galaga. 
 

Score updated. Switching to a regular controller was definitely a good idea. The Advantage was murdering my wrist, and I don't think it actually helped much. (Just to clarify, I wasn't using any of the features, but I'd wanted to try to replicate the arcade experience with the joystick and big buttons.)

Probably but it will be participation..........exhausting time trying to get high scores is completely redundant at this point.

There is no way I am going to catch up to you, Brock and Bert so why the hell would I even bother trying?

I will just coast it and get top 5 and will just bust ass in the tournament and get more free-time to do other things.
 

I'm hoping we play a Ninja Gaiden game in the tournament.

 

I just hope the tourney games are stuff I own or can pick up in a flash locally. Otherwise I'm pretty much screwed

If I feel like I am slipping I will probably step it up a few weeks just to maintain a top 5 position especially if a game I really want to play is going on......like Kickmaster.

Edit - Oh and Pinball....because that game is awesome.
 

I guess I should put up a score at some point since I actually am good at this game,but my controller is still busted (down direction gets stuck) and I haven't gone into town to buy another one.

I also should put up a score because once fantasy football season starts,I'll be spending the lion's share of my time on that.

If you think I'm good at video games,you should play against me in fantasy football...please.
