It undoubtedly appears to be a prototype cart. Seeing that it's a huge franchise and the game is different than the retail release, I would jump at the purchase.

If you don't mind me asking, does the seller have a number in mind?

Hahahahahaha!  I think they added an extra zero there by accident.

It's a very cool prototype, but that thing wouldn't hit $300 at open auction.

The NES prototypes are valued around $100 or so each, and the GB prototypes between $35-$65 or so.

Yeah, those prototypes have been relisted on eBay a number of times now (including a Megaman 2 prototype that was eventually sold in a side deal).

Those NES prototypes are two of the more common titles in existence.  $100 is the most they should sell for (and that's being generous if you ask me), but I suppose stranger things have happened.

100% legit. My buddy (skaar) owned it. I think there is a thread on NA from a while back about this prototype.

That is a cool proto (considering you already see a difference in just the title screen), but not $1500 cool .

1500!? Like Matt said, I don't see that getting past $300 on open auction.

Check out this really awesome WTB thread that I found, I heard this guy wants games at the cheapest rate possible!  Now on the look out for Unlicensed NES!

I'm not sure if it would sell for $1500 but I know it would sell for more than $300 because it already has. This cart used to be mine.
