Yeah. There were a few weeks where I played for over 10 hours a day, but a lot of the time I played was spent doing afkable skills. I got 99 woodcutting back in 2007 while doing my homework every day
. I'll never "quit" either, like, giving my account away or anything. I have mixed opinions about the updates. I've always been against real world trading and botting as I think it ruins the competitive aspect and diminishes others' accomplishments.. but I've got over that, it's never going away. I used to support Jagex in almost all of their decisions, because I agreed with them.. but once Runescape really started taking off they became money-hungry and stopped caring about the players as much.
http://services.runescape.com/m=h...Like I said, I never played WOW, but I bet I would have liked it. I love blowing time on RPGs, although admittedly a lot of time on RS was spent in the background while I did something else like watched TV or read articles online. Once I started programming I became more interested in the mechanics of the game, and wanted to create my own, rather than playing runescape for the sake of playing it.
