Found this in a box of Atari 2600 stuff. I'm unsure if this is a prototype or an early bootleg

Could be or it may be just a game with out its casing.

Looks like its maybe a homemade flash cart. I could be wrong and it could be a proto though as im not sure if you can/could buy perf boards with an edge connector like that.

If the chip is removable, there's a few different versions of those out there.

Is that Frogs and Flies? That was a M Network release by Mattel to port Intellivision games to the Atari. I think you would have better lucking taking to a Atari based forum like Atariage and showing it or looking for other M Network/Mattel prototypes to compare.
