My game glitched out as you can see in the photo and I tried resetting but it didn't keep my score.  So here's my participation score to check if it saved my previous scores!  My other score was 38k.  I hope I have time tonight to try harder but wanted to get this in.

Is it just me, or is that background music on the title page and building phase reminiscent of the Charlie Brown theme song? I've had it stuck in my head all week because of the game... LOL

I might finally finish in the top ten during a puzzle game week at this rate. In four seasons of competing in the contests, I don't think that's ever happened.

Very disappointed in myself, I bought this game specifically for playing the contest this week, I actually ended up with 2 copies and traded one away and I have not put any time into playing this week. I got 1 game in last night and didn't get very far at all. Hope i can get a participation point in this week

I've heard of this game before this week, but I never bothered to look into it or know what it was about. It's a lot of fun I feel, but it's pretty difficult. I just got this score and it was my first this week over 23K, so I'm done for this contest since I'm sure I'm tapped out. I'm hoping to get a top 10 out of this, unless we get a last day run of scores posted tomorrow.

Meh, I just finished another playthrough, but my score was 10k less because I only continued once instead of twice (and that's with getting the bonus for destroying the last ship). I actually made it to the 6th island without continuing, which is a first for me.

I also discovered that for the lower right island, you can surround the lake with blocks and it will become part of your territory, which results in a bit of graphical glitching. It still doesn't let you place cannons there, though.

I intentionally lost on the last stage just so I could continue and get more points.  Also, I did the same thing with the lake, and at first I thought the game screwed up because I couldn't place a cannon in the lake.  Then the lake came back in the next phase, and I was like "Oh yeah...there's a lake there."

Oh, and you do get 20,000 points for Not shooting down the final ship...

It's better not to the shoot the ship after all, then. Oh well.

So my strategy was basically to just survive. Once it gets to the third stage, I bomb my own walls so they can't catch fire. And I remove my cannons and just try to keep one castle alive at any given time. I don't even try to shoot the enemies. It makes it pretty easy to complete the game.

I suppose the best strategy for points would be to die on purpose and continue on the 3rd and 5th stages.
