huh? in my experience gb is slightly easier to get good grades on. not suggesting for a second that its easy to get a 100 believe me, but I find its a little easier to get a 90 on for sure

WTB Cdn sealed black boxes, sealed Cdn first party titles.    I.e. the "mattel" Cdn boxes with both french and english.   Mainly black boxes, zelda, link, and tyson, but let me know what you have.    I am interested in anything I don't already have!

I can see both sides of the argument being valid. I think they do grade on % of the item with flaws, but it's also probably easier for a GB game to get a higher score. The GB box is smaller and lighter, so self-inflicted flaws from handling tend to be reduced. Can anyone comment on the quality of the cardboard used to make a GB box? I tend to remember it being of higher material quality than NES, which may also reduce the number of manufacturing flaws.

that sounds about right. probably it didn't even have to be a higher quality material, it would be more resistant to corner dents simply by virtue of having shorter sides and lighter box contents

That's also true. Smaller dimensions should also make it stronger.

Sorry guys but I haven't found that to be the case at all (and VGA has specifically told me 90 and up on GB is usually pretty hard to come by). All it takes is one corner barely poking through or one barely visible stress on a GB game to get a 85. The same thing on a NES or SNES game could still get a 90.

ya well, I believe this was the one that was supposed to be sold in stores, does that count?

It has the same art as the freaking cart label! Unless the cart inside is orange like the BB exclusive ;-)

All I can tell you is that when I sold my 250 sealed gameboy games to brian's toys, I was surprised at some of the ones that got 90s and that it was generally a higher percentage than I would have expected given my submissions to that date of nes/snes. They may mark small flaws harder so to speak but like eric is saying that doesn't necessarily mean its harder to get a 90. gb games do seem to be less prone to corner tears (on the back). But whatever. Its tough on any of these platforms.

Odd.  They didn't seem to have too many 90s.  Only a very small % of my GB games have gotten 90.

Here is my highest graded GBC game.  I like the fact that it helps protect my games. I have to agree with the last post in that it is really, really hard to find these games in mint condition. They seem to be made out of a more flimsy cardboard (my BF collects Turbo games and those were flimsy too). I am happy to say that I now own 151 sealed GBC games!!! Not bad for a chick "As always, I will be forever addicted to color".

^^Agreed.
You have 151 sealed games, and your picture is of a Pokemon game... and there were originally 151 Pokemon.
Coincidence?

Not counting MissingNo, you stoners.

i believe the answer is "yes", but it would probably look like crap in the acrylic case.
