I've been really lucky at Goodwill for some reason lately, plus i found a sealed game at Half Price books. not a bad week so far:

Goodwill:

Blinx: The Time Sweeper -$2
Ninja Gaiden Black -$2
Chicago Enforcer -$2
Red Dead Revolver -$2
Super Bust A Move -$2
Heavenly Guardian -$2
Tetris w/Sleeve & Instructions -$2
Miracle Piano -$2
Indy Car with Nigel Mansell (no instructions) -$2
Metroid Prime w/Bonus Disk -$4
DKC 2 -$10 (label upgrade)

Half Price Books:

Ninja Gaiden (sealed) -$6

Ebay:

Goemon's Great Adventure w/Memory card -$25 shipped

Its funny about the Ninja Gaiden, when I was checking Half Price, I saw an open copy for $8.50. I said no way and then I saw the other one next to it and noticed it was sealed and cheaper. I also noticed it was on the shelf since the middle of June. I'm not sure how everyone else missed that, but I won't question it.

I found a few interesting items this week:

Gamecube Inflatable chair -$5
X-Arcade in box with Gamecube adaptor -$20
SNES with power supply and RF adapter -$8
Controller -$3

I had never heard of the inflatable chair, but it was a KMart promotion for the Gamecube launch. I got the X-arcade when orange tags went %50 off. I'm glad I spotted it behind the counter underneath a bunch of other stuff. I haven't seen a SNES at Goodwill in years and that is the lowest price I've seen so far. There isn't any chipping present either and it's been on the shelf for a day, what luck!

Neat chair...I wouldn't trust sitting in it though ahaha.

I also have that X-Arcade thing...it's a little clunky if you use it for console gaming..it's really meant to be for making a MAME cab then anything else. Also those adapters have a funny way of crapping out on you, got one with an Xbox and Gamecube adapter and the xbox one was dead.

Found this at a goodwill:

Commodore 128 with power supply and Floppy drive $40

There's a RGBI cable attached to the back. I searched for the monitor but it wasn't there. It was possibly picked up by someone earlier. It's ok because it's possible to make adapters to S-video or VGA. I have a CIB VIC-20, but I've never owned a C64 or 128 before and I had always wanted one growing up. I see C64 carts every once in a while out in the wild, time to start picking some up!

Not to be too nosy but I'm insanely curious, where was the St. Vincent De Paul's store located ? Because I've gotten ridiculous deals at one before as well. Finding a copy of Zombie Nation for $.49 haha. I'm wondering if it's the same place as your Gamecube finds. Seriously amazing finds though, especially the stuff from Value Village, never find any stuff there in my part of WA.

I'm hesitant to be too specific, but I will say the store was in Idaho.

I found this boxed NES open tournament Golf (no instructions) at my favorite Value Village this week:

Wait, somethings not right with that Seal Of Quality....

Why this game is rife with the stench of Back Bacon!

Canadian variant or not, I can't complain about finding a boxed NES game for only 8$. I've played this game on my 3DS, not a bad start to the Mario Golf franchise.

You gotta love it when whoever's pricing the games just gives up and starts rubber stamping everything:

there were actually a lot of games there, including SNES games, GBA games and a couple CIB Genesis games, but I have to limit myself or I'll go broke. I don't feel bad for letting other people get deals.
There is one little problem with this lot though....

These two games were missing their discs. I brought this to their attention and they sold both for $0.99 each so I'll complete them later. Likely someone pilfered the discs at some point when no one was looking.
Who would seriously see a copy of Smash Bros Melee for $6 and steal the disc? Sigh...

Oh well, I just got this baby in today:

I found this on Ebay for $75 shipped and everything's in very good condition except for the cartridge which is practically mint. this replaces a pretty bad label version I got last year for $13. this is one of those games that I used to own complete way back in the day before regretfully selling it so I'm glad to get it back in my collection.

They were probably donated without the games inside. I find thrift stores hit-or-miss with thoughly checking the contents of CD cases before putting them out for sale.

My son... gives me Helpful Nintendo Hints that are far too complex for the adult mind to comprehend. Here's a verbatim example: "OK, there's Ganon and miniature Ganon and there's these things like jelly beans and the miniature Ganon is more powerfuller, because when you touch him the flying eagles come down and the octopus shoots red rocks and the swamp takes longer." And the hell of it is, I know he's right. - Dave Barry

That could be. The Super Mario Sunshine had two discs inside it, the extra disc was Hide and Sneak, which I also paid for (damn my honesty).

Either way nice haul of Gamecube games you got. I scored Smash Bros too for $30 but the seller didn't mention it was missing the manual. Either way it was still worth the buy. Oh and yeah our Value Village used to put games in a binder and have the game case on the shelf. Now they got lazy and place it complete on the shelf. Yes I think games have gone missing too. Congrats on your buy!

I found these at Value Village today:

There were lots and lots of CIB big box PC games there. I didn't have room in my little place for all of them, so i chose the ones I'd likely play or that piqued my interest. All the PC games were $3 with a few exceptions that they stuck in the glass case. The big one here is Wasteland. The box was smushed between all the other boxes on the shelf and was hard to spot. I didn't know the value of the game until I bought it and looked it up, needless to say I was pleasently surprised. They had some SNES games there too, nothing too amazing but I nabbed these two because they were priced fairly and came with instructions.

SNES games with the manuals are always good.

Also on those Gamecube games earlier...that happens a lot at thrift stores. More so with ones that don't lock up their games. Annoying when you see a great game only to open up the case and have nothing in it.

idk how many times it's happened to me...and not just at thrift stores...sometimes at yard sales too and they'll never find the games ._.

Used to be I'd get so excited finding good games I wouldn't check the cases...till about the 5th time I found them empty...now I always check. Lesson learned...

The good news is I found another copy of smash bros melee at the same store, this time without instructions and it was only $5. I used it's disc to complete the one above. The only downside is it needs a good resurfacing. I'm probably going to use it as trade when I attend PRGE this weekend.

I find a lot of empty GC and PS2 cases at Goodwill outlet. They sell them by weight (about $0.10 each). I find replacement cases useful.

I might as well show what I got at PRGE while I'm at it:

The sealed Thor for DS was a pretty good deal at $4. I've heard good things about that game. I'm not looking to get a complete DS collection or anything, but there's lot's of good games for the DS that I've been wanting. I was very happy to find Sonic Blastman II at one of the booths, now I can cross that off my list. Also i just need RE:2 for the Gamecube and I've got the whole GCN RE collection (except for the pure evil pack). I've also heard good things about those Genesis Disney games and so far they've been pretty good. Sadly I search and searched and searched for a gotcha force but was unable to find one.

I got these today from a local online auction:

two 14 inch Sony PVM's. both were $5 each. They're a bit small, but they seem to work great and have RGB inputs. One might make for a good monitor for my C128 among other things.

I haven't posted in a while but I've kept up my thrift store runs:

I've played a little of C.O.P. The Recruit and the graphics are beyond anything I ever thought the DS was capable of. I'm impressed. I found that Sonic yo-yo in a big blue bin randomly at a Goodwill Outlet. Speaking of random finds, is this a lawn dart (Jart)?

I also FINALLY got my copy of Class Of Heroes 2G that I ordered in the summer. Yes I will eventually be opening it up and giving it a play. Also I've upgraded my Mario Sunshine to a black label and a canadian variant at that. Below is the most unusual find I've come across recently:

I have no idea where these came from, but it's obviously a tower that holds an Xbox 360, games and 4 controllers. Looking at past auctions and sales for it, it's somewhat rare and sells for about $80 most of the time. It was really REALLY dirty when I got it, but it's cleaned up nicely. The base for the actual console is solid glass and the whole tower is fairly sturdy. I really like it.

I've had a pretty good Saturday:

Pokemon Gold -$2.10
Mario Party -$7
Diddy Kong Racing -$2.80
KISS Pinball -$2
Uncharted 2 -$3
Wrath Unleashed -$3

Gotcha Force was an Ebay purchase for $98 so not a steal, I sold doubles for 2 months to afford it. I'm glad I finally got my hands on one.
