As of about 2 days ago I keep getting a "you need to be logged in to do that" type of message when I reply to topics or PMs, but it's COMPLETELY random. I think clearing my cache, and such helps but no idea if it fixes it. The problem with this is how random it is. I'll be fine all day, and then I have a large reply, or PM and bam... weird error(also seems to eat my message.)

Any idea what might be causing this. I've had it happen with Firefox, Avant Browser, and on Opera so far. Only just started 2 days ago too.

What operating system? 64bit browsers or 32bit? the more information the better for Dain's troubleshooting.

I have both a 64 bit and 32 bit Windows Vista, and I haven't experienced this problem.

You've been tripping this error for a few years now actually, and I see the error when it's logged, know where it's happening, but I've been unable to reproduce it. I even changed the code to account for what the error was indicating, but there's *something* about your browser/computer/network that is literally modifying your HTTP headers and removing the "message" field. It could be a proxy, ISP, router, anything really, that is literally stripping values from the HTTP stream from your PC to our servers.

I'm fairly certain at this point that this issue is isolated to you only.

Hahaha, wow didn't expect that! Weird! If it helps any I have 64 bit Windows 7 Home Edition at my house(or at the shop), 32 bit Vista Home Premium at my parents(where I am right now.) All 3 locations have their own routers, and different internet connections. The shop has wifi, all others are wired.

Haha, I hope that didn't come off as pissy! I just meant that I kept seeing this odd error, and every time I check the error log, it shows your username. I've investigated it a few times and simply cannot see what's going wrong. It's really bizarre, and you're the only one that's tripping this particular error, which is why I kept saying it was isolated to you.
